This x1000. Unfortunately, Nebraska just ran into a perfect storm with what transpired this offseason at Wisconsin. Add in playing at Camp Randall, at night, and it's tough sledding. But they really caught a break with Ohio State's troubles.

You'd have to have seen the context in which he's been shredded by the press and fans around here to have a better understanding of why he answered those questions the way he did. He wasn't joking when he said it didn't matter how he answered the questions, he'd still get ripped for it. Just look at the responses to this thread, and other threads around here. There are people who call themselves Husker fans who act like they hate the guy. Didn't realize that, thanks. I'll definitely take that into account in the future.

Just watched Martinez's presser. That has to be alarming to fans, even casual ones. I'm a proponent of flushing bad games down the toilet to an extent, but you have to take responsibility and own up to your bad games. His deflection of questions about the game and canned answer of "better decisions" shows a lack of accountability IMO.

OSU sans Posey and Herron (which now looks to be the case) is not nearly as daunting.

Who was the guy who got juked out by Wilson on the long run? Sean Fisher I think? He seemed to miss a lot of tackles. Early on, they seemed to be getting good pressure up the middle, particularly with Crick. I don't know if Wisconsin adapted, or if NU changed things up, but that confused me a little bit.

I wish they did something for football like they do with "The Journey" for basketball.

I just think it snowballed on the whole team and turned into a vicious cycle. As the defense gave up some yards and points, Beck started jacking up the ball. In return, as Martinez struggled, the defense became more discouraged and got worn down.

Our defense is mediocre at best, and, frankly, not national championship caliber. We get burned around the edges way too often.

You know you're dealing with high-expectation programs when just 2 losses sends them to college football purgatory. But that's the reality.
