    Ran distance events in track and wrestled varsity in high school. Ran cross country in college. Learned the game of basketball in intramural at college and played many basketball tournaments, city leagues and noon ball at the local YMCA till I was 65. Started running sprints at seniors meets around the country about 9 years ago. I have 7 grandkids that I love dearly.

  1. Argument with my son tonight. The discussion was if Westy had caught the ball before it crossed the endzone but his feet had stayed in the endzone when he came down would it still be a TD? I know Westy did reach back with the ball to make sure but if he had been tackled with his feet in the endzone but the ball out of the endzone would it still be 6? I say no, son says yes.Discuss.

      However if he initially contacted the ball in the endzone and completed the catch out of it due to his momentum I believe that would be a TD.

      I almost wanna say that if he had control of it with his feet in the endzone and the ball out it would be a TD. Wouldn't it be the same if a ball carrier breaks the plan with his foot on his way out of bounds and the ball on his opposite shoulder never actually breaks the plane?? Interesting to find out

      My son is stating the same thing as EZ. Possession of the ball with one or both feet in the endzone even if it never crosses the plane is a TD. My theory is the ball must have at some point crossed that imaginary line with possession.
