  1. Has anyone on the board ever dealt with the Quadratus Lumborum muscle in the low back? I first went to the chiropractor thinking it was in the spine. 8 trips and very little relief. Next was a trip to the PT and they needled it which seemed to make a difference but only for a few days.  I've found one stretch that helps.  Also laying on a tennis ball on the hot spot helps but the best I've found is an inversion table. Any suggestions?

@Clifford Franklin mine may be like a TENS? Haven't had to get it out for a few years. IIRC it was right at $100. It has 3 settings, requires a special gel, and can get pretty warm if you use it too long. Helped my son's OS and my daughter had a case of tennis elbow. Have used it on various muscle pains. It helps and works better with certain gels.

@JJ Husker Yeah that's definitely an ultrasound unit. If it helps I'm all for it. We use it sometimes in the clinic depending on what we're treating. It's pretty good for soft tissue pain like tendonitis or muscle issues.

TENS is an electrical stimulation unit - some machines have both functions. The TENS part is where you put electrodes on somebody's skin and zap them with electricity to reduce pain.

Well mine won’t do that so it must be a straight ultrasound. It provides pretty good short term pain relief but I can’t claim it’s ever “cured” an ailment.
