  1. We are not good. Being a husker fan hurts. I wish I could quit. But just like a bad habit, I can't
  2. I realize that the goal is always to make the tournament, but seeing how in the Miles era we have only made any kind of post season one time, wouldn't making the NIT and making some noise in it be an awesome accomplishment for this young team?
  3. I'm guessing it's cause defensively he kept leaving Wagner for wide open 3's... not having Morrow is really hurting
  4. This seems huge for our team. Hopefully this will take some pressure off Ed in the post. Love the way Ed plays and his athleticism, but only standing 6-7 can get a guy in foul trouble when he has to defend an athletic big like the Parden kid from NW. Mix them 2 together with a hopefully stronger/quicker Tshimanga, and Jaconsen who is a solid defender and rebounder... it's gonna be nice to have some depth at the big man positions for once.
  5. because he took his time on the layup that he got fouled on with 1.3 left and then missed 2 FT's when all we needed 1 and then missed 2 again when we were up 3 that would've iced the game yeah, team FT shooting was a problem last night. But if you can't get singled out for doing the above then what can you get singled out for on a basketball court? Horne wasn't overy rambunctious about advancing the ball on that play either. If he tosses ahead right away rather than patiently dribbling up the court for 15 feet, Taylor has an easy wide open dunk.
  6. I also see some potential. Just needs to get stronger and quicker which will come the more he works out with D1 level trainers. Ouch

  8. Am I the only one sick of seeing our dribble handoff play? Seems like the only set we have and we rarely get good looks.
  9. Definitely. We go to the rim and get railed. No call or charge. They take it to the rim and they're going to the line every time
  10. Let see - Besides the 1 Sr, we have 4 So with playing experience (which includes McVeigh). The rest are Fr. or transfers. Jack also shot very well before this tournament. Different court. Dayton also had 2 shooters who shot over 40% on 3s and struggled to shoot 20% against us. With Jack being a So., I expect these kind of games once in a while. Watson is the same. There is no reason to get overly worried. But I agree that Jacobson needs to concentrate on rebounding & not shoot very many 3s.
  11. Also McVeigh. Not sure how he gets so much playing time. Supposedly a knock down shooter but sure seems to miss wide open 3's a lot and is a liability defensively because he's so slow footed, we should have recruited Mike Daum from Kimbal a lot harder. I think he'd be much more effective than Jack. Also I get pretty frustrated how often Jacobson gets the switch and has a 6'2" guy posted up on the block and we never throw it down to him. He can score if he could ever get the ball inside the 3 point line.
  12. Thanks to that thumping the boys in pads took last night, I'm suddenly more excited for Basketball season. Should be fun to see how the big man meshes with our now sophomore class.
  13. No particular capacity at all. I agree that he probably won't go anywhere as anything but a head coach, and there's next to a 0% chance that we could get him on board. Just throwing it out there because I don't think you can have enough great coaches on 1 staff.
  14. Time for his boy to recruit him to our coaching staff. Highly unlikely but that would be cool.
  15. He had a couple really nice punts after struggling a bit the first 2 games. Hoping he got the monkey off his back and this is a sign of good things to come.
  16. You did? I had no idea..... So do you always take time out of your day to act like a tool?
  17. So i screwed up the heading a little bit... Maybe it can catch on though. Ha
  18. I am very high on miles and he yet again made a further impression on me tonight. I was eating down in the haymarket celebrating a buddies birthday. We were sitting by a window when all of the sudden Miles walked by. I usually try not to make a scene out of local lincoln celebs but my emotions got the best of me. I knocked at the window at him and gave him a fist pump. Miles turned his whole body at us and smiled and gave a double fist pump back. Such a fan favorite and i hope he can keep doing what he is doing and turn us around!
  19. I have a buddy who is a fan of Wisconsin and would like to attend the game. Does anyone know if there is a section designated to the opposing fans as there is in football?
  20. Did you see Saban and Miles' interviews going into halftime? Considerate, informative, to the point. LSU at that point had about 40 yards of offense and Miles was able to put together 150 words that didn't include "we'll be fine" -- Compare that with Bo. Bo's sideline demeanor is just one of his many issues when it comes to the public's perception of him. Put it all together and that's why it's an issue for Pelini and not Saban. Don't you think that's only because they've been dealing with the press longer? I'm sorry but I think it's incredibly stupid for those reporters to stick a microphone into a coach's face when he needs to get to the locker room and get his team ready for the next half. What would you rather have? Bo blow up at him or have Bo say something that at the time he believed or thought would be better? It only sounded ridiculous after the fact, because they lost. Had the Huskers won the reporters would've said 'Bo said they would be just fine and they were!...blah blah blah. Even Alabama's quarterback talked about on the national news after the game that Saban 'ripped into me'. but the only difference between Saban and Bo is winning. So after Bo wins a couple or more championships then folks will just say that he's always been 'passionate/zealous/moved/emotional' et al I can't wait til that happens. I think you pretty much nailed it. When it comes down to it, this is still Bo's first Head coaching job. He has experienced a lot of things over the past few years that as an assistant he hadn't ran into. Two of the things that he has obviously struggled with is handling the media, which i am sure with time he will become better about like you said. Also i think a big thing is that he is learning how to recruit better. He has brought in some real good players in his classes but he needs to learn to balances recruits out. For example bringing in 3 really good running backs in the same class probably wasn't the best idea, but when its all said and done, Bo will figure out how to do things as his coaching career matures and I do believe he will win a NC. So why run him out of town and let him do it somewhere else.
  21. Touche. I Have never once noticed Kenny's Blue shirt.
