  1. I'd be happy with a second half of the season Jake Rudock. Yea our standards have slipped to just dont loose the game, though he did spank Florida in the bowl game, still on the Lions too, good for him.
  2. It's worth it, anything resembling a positive from an outside view is good for the soul atm. Concerned about the O line, I dont know how that became UM's Achilles heel over thee last few years but it just has. Sort of like Huskers mental mistakes, changed coaches and it was still there(will be gone with Frost pretty sure), but this O is still suspect even after Harbaugh. Then the QB, did he have enough time to get used to this O? Feel out the receivers, utilize the full play book, good numbers but did toss a good deal of int's, this is all that is concerning me. We will see Saturday, I will have alcohol on hand along with a trained nurse to administer the morphine.
  3. Yea 2024 looks like Huskers first B1G season welcome wagon. Really though I would be surprised if this schedule stands after the Big12 contracts are up. That's 2025, but pulling some teams just a year early is doable
  4. Well I'm happy to hear that, because I have little confidence in a nighttime road game, so there is that at least for a couple more years.
  5. Yea the foot work was like ballet, but more manly . Have to watch some of more of he's college games but on the Lions not effective in short was because everyone knew it was going to be a Berry run and the flood gates would open with most their team flooding the backfield. Similar happened in the playoffs. It was very predictable and Wayne Fonts to me was like 50 pounds of dead weight on these players with he's predictable calls. QB's were dud's or very mediocre, though Moore and Perriman were good WR. Still it was almost always a Berry run instead of a proper screen, Wayne wanted Berry to do all the work for him. Was not a fan of the O line either, they were meh, I've watched interviews with opposing players who didn't have very kind words regarding their opposition, there were two words they said playing Lions "Stop Berry".
  6. It's not the same, but more important, I played football, but it does not mean I will pick better then a gambler, he will actually do better then me or a coach. Information is key like in most things in life to make the best decision. Most things are like battlefield covered in a "fog of war" the more you know, the more data you have the better you can predict an outcome of your or others actions. Doesn't matter if you have done that thing, you will still fail if you lack the information surrounding outside factors and circumstances. Case and point most coaches who try to predict games on espn. I often bet against them, it's easy to see bias or that they simply do not know the divisions outside of their own. Press guys on the other hand will watch the games from the entire country, considering scores, stats and individual players and analyze them because they are actually being paid for it. Only a gambler will do better then them. Speaking of gambling, just a personal experience, I had a hiatal hernia when I was a kid so bed bound for a few months, I watched almost every game followed all the stats, could predict virtually every game in the NFL 13-14 right(couple less teams then), dad loved it as for a couple months he took the betting pool every week at work. Once I got better had less time to contribute, I no longer could pick near that level. So information and time invested in research and analysis is a major contributing factor, not being a coach, that is almost irrelevant with limited information. A far as your question which I though was just a fun little jab, not avoiding it, but I'm the last person you want to ask about the NC, because my answer is none, for Michigan, none for Nebraska and none for the rest of the teams. Personally I refer to NC as the yearly farce and comedy of errors, there has never been a proper one and this is the only major sport in the world where this happens. we have come closer in the last couple years, but last year again, we went back to the farce. Also as far as arguing about the split championship, no one from both sides will listen to anyone, consider their thoughts or change their minds. So those conversations are moot. Especially for me.
  7. Sanders looked great, but not quite NFL great, need to watch more of these college games with him. As far as the game, !st quarter, how can I say this..blowout...blow out... BLOW OUT! 35-0? Didn't expect that, Total murder, death kill Huskers game plan was way ahead of Oki st and they took everything they gave them. A really fine game.
  8. This Hawaii Colorado state game was actually pretty decent.
  9. Actually they do as that is all they do, watch and analyze most of the field. On the other side many of the coaches themselves said they have no time to watch other teams, never mind from other conferences as they are busy watching film for their next match up. So they simply follow the general consensus when filling the ballot.
  10. To much to properly gauge, but here is a cool picture.
  11. So they are giving out participation trophies or something?
  12. Awesomenes, thanks Landlord, going to watch this and skip the UMASS vs basketball team game.
  13. JJ would there happen to be anywhere to watch that game? Sounds awesome.
  14. Yea haha, it's considered one of the worst movies ever made, it has a cult following from those who like to watch movies so bad that you just cant stop watching what is said and happening on the screen. I couldn't watch the whole thing myself, but did enjoy the funny nostalgia critics highlights and comments.
  15. And here is how not to. National champ not in sight. 2018 Strength of Schedule: 1 Michigan 2 UCLA 3 Florida State 4 LSU 5 Arizona State 6 Purdue 7 Oregon State 8 Pittsburgh 9 Texas A&M 10 Maryland 11 Rutgers 12 Nebraska 13 Utah 14 Stanford 15 Penn State 16 Michigan State 17 Northwestern 18 Indiana 19 Auburn 20 Mississippi State 21 Missouri 22 Arkansas 23 Georgia Tech 24 Ole Miss 25 Notre Dame
  16. Whenever I hear of the Room, this one always comes to mind.(Warning, it's bad, really bad) O hi Mark
  17. Yea it is, as in this quote " it’s the only show in all of television, going back at least a decade, to post week-to-week ratings gains in key demographics for every single episode over the entire season." But yes BBC America and BBC tend to have their heads up their rears regarding how to market and distribute their shows with modern convenience. Amazon does have it for per episode prices. Hulu is going to have it later in the year(no exact date, late 2018), not sure why wait so long. Basically this show is heavily torrented and streamed elsewhere(guilty), they need to get their act together as it came out back in April. Movies are available faster then that.
  18. As I always say, greatest ever, privilege to have watched him. Wish he would have been drafted by Green Bay instead of the dud Tony Mandarich. Would have broken all the RB records without breaking a sweat in a proper organization, instead drafted by the Lions, leaving the game early due to in he's own words "Lions loosing culture" I hope one day I get to see another RB like him again. The thing was not necessarily he's long runs, but the 5 yarders, or the broken plays due to one of the worse O lines in the NFL. He was so perfectly balanced and would react 2-3 moves ahead of the defenders, perfect RB in ability and mind. There are some videos on youtube on what the defensive players thought of him, those are the best testimonies regarding he's legacy.
  19. Maybe week 1 Maryland vs23 Texas, did it last year on the road. Week 3 Syracuse might play FS well at home. San jose could be a trap for Oregon, they just do that once in a while. Texas another chance to drop to USC on the road TCU vs OSU, though not likely to drop from top 25 unless they loose week 2 to SMU, though unlikely in Texas. Also as mentioned this is what makes the Colorado game all the much bigger, good showing vs them and a couple teams dropping would likely get Huskers into the 22-25th spot. Beat unbeaten UM, easy mid teens, win vs beaten UM with Huskers 4-0 around 17-20 in the ranks.
  20. Just binged Killing Eve, definitely deserved the accolades. Spy thriller, assassins, bit of a dark comedy and fairly brutal. Great camera work, good writing. One of those shows that gets better and better with each episode. Btw we have all seen some girls plays psychopaths or bad girls, but this to me is the most chilling.
  21. Yea though the media coverage mostly was not about any of it. Just lot's of headlines promising a known figures fall(one of our favorite pastimes) to get the clicks.
  22. Had no problem with that flag in the past and just loved the crap out the General Lee car. However to some that flag is no different then a Nazi flag, a symbol of oppression and brutality perpetrated against them. It also is actually the flag of the traitors of the USA and the enemy who fought us. So yea, I can give it a pass for the duke boys as it was innocent fun, but I get why others dont want anything to do with it,.
  23. Maybe for once they feel like it's not them on the bottom getting the beat down as Latinos took their place. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, who knows, people dont think to deeply as long as there is a couple bucks more on the table.
  24. Nebraska could go into the Michigan game ranked if the planets align, essentially those in the late teens, 20's drop some games. Otherwise beating Michigan should do it as long as Huskers are unbeaten prior to the game. It's going to be exciting, it's going to be heartbreaking, but let's just hope it wont be downright stupid.
