  1. Yeah, the stupid thug routine they have running, complete with dramatic acting including falls that look wild but result in a careful stunt roll, is getting old. They shove our players into their players and keep trying to pile on the dirty. So glad to see us come out with this win and get the hell away from MSU for another year.
  2. Pretty obviously Martinez. Turner? Really? Even that play required Martinez' not-so-indirect participation.
  3. Based on their very good quarterback and the lack of Joe Paterno to muck things up by swapping someone absurd and wandering around the box, I'd say they are very strong. Only B1G loss to Ohio State, but haven't beaten any of the top programs. I think our defense will be able to bottle them up enough for the offense to outscore them by a touchdown or so. I'd say the fact we're getting them at home is critical. Would not want this matchup to be in Beaver stadium.
  4. Good plan. I would definitely make sure to be eaten up with bile on the insides after that win. Waiting for the failure that you know must come, anticipating disaster because you know, in your heart of fan hearts, that it's what we deserve- what the Huskers deserve for being what they are and not what they should be.
  5. Hell yes. I barely care if we even win it. Ok, I care, but your point is right on target. If we get to the rose bowl this is a successful year.
  6. I couldn't believe how often and wildly they were using Robinson. Heavy reliance on his runs with little regard to contact and/or preservation. Has he been that way all season?
  7. Taylor Martinez is gutsy and tough and wants a win as bad as most Husker fans, although we should have already known that. Our defense is quite good. The drama queens who were contemplating a change of religion after the OSU game were wrong.
  8. This may be one of the douchiest posts I've ever seen. It took me five 'words' to realize that and stop reading. I'd remember the name of the poster, but something tells me that I won't be reading much of his drivel no matter what.
  9. Two dropped balls, a lucky interception, and a terrible penalty and you were able to divine all that from the NU/Nebraska game? No wonder you're so miserable...
  10. We're a pretty good team, but they blew us out. There- proof for you.
  11. The season sucks because we're 1-1 in the big ten after losing on the road to a team 10 ranks higher than us and in the other division? Was hoping to see some perspective and the realization that we're not in a bad position Big 10 wise, except for a relatively tough schedule. Ohio State also beat MSU, making our job easier. We showed we have strength, talent, and can make big plays as well as big mistakes, but this was not a must win game nor were we favored. I suggest we come back down from the edge, stop acting like Iowa fans- who actually have something to really complain about, and just breathe into a paper bag for 2 weeks. I'm sorry you apparently missed the game and the press conference afterwards. In your conveniently coy Football-For-Dummies version of what actually happened last night, you forgot to mention that our quarterback 'improved' from bad to miserable, our defense was Cosgrovian in the non-hyperbole sense of the word, and afterwards our coach looked like a guy who just came out of the trenches in World War 1. Forget winning the division. There's no logical reason to think it will happen. Forget the title. That won't happen either. What did happen (or is happening, I should say), is Nebraska has been completely exposed. Every minor fault and crack many decided to ignore in favor of fantasies of a psychologically matured, disciplined football team split into canyons. We have massive systemic issues within the program and no amount of excuse-peddling or sunshine-pumping is going to alter that fact. It will continue to prove itself over. . .and over. . .and over. . .until the issue is addressed. It's Groundhog Day at Nebraska as long as self-delusion is the modus operandi. My feeling is, this staff as it stands is completely incapable of addressing its problems. Pelini is largely responsible for this. Now, finally, after last night, I think he's beginning the process of coming to terms with it. We're not on the ledge. We've fallen off it. Recognize it. Admit it. If you don't, I hope Bo does, else I fully believe we are sunk. You're sunk. Gone! I suggest you follow Alabama this year since they're the only team that won't lose a big game under pressure. Any of the other top 10 can and likely will. OSU is a better team, and Braxton Miller is a better QB. There was no way we were coming out of that stadium with a win unless those two factors didn't bother showing up. Since they did, our turnover problems only made a loss into an embarrassing one. Who the hell cares? I suggest you let go of your personal, posterior pain and sandy nether-region affliction and realize that we're 1-1 in our division, it's early, and the worst game is probably over. I'll admit that our program has its challenges but there is no reason to expect, even hope for out of spite, the same kind of result in any of our remaining games.

The B1G is a terrible conference and is lucky that the ACC (America's Crapiest Conference) the Big Least are around to take some of the attention to how bad this conference really is. The only way you can consider it tough is if you take our HC's inability to defend mobile QB's, and then yes, you can call it tough, but that is because we don't have a competent defense. Whether you want to admit it or not, there is a very good possibility that NU will be 4-4 when they head to Spartan Stadium. I don't disagree with that. There is also a good possibility they will be 5-3 or 6-2. OSU is likely the best team in the Big 10. Nebraska is certainly one of the best in the Legends division. Are we going to support them and let this play out or screech out our bile and pain to the world while uttering foul and nasty things about them? That isn't a rhetorical question. I'm relatively new to being a Husker fan but moved to Lincoln two years ago and LOVE them. I came from Iowa and still follow that team but on 11/23, I expect a solid Husker win here.
  13. If we are going to melt down over a road loss to the highest ranked team in the Big 10, particularly one with that QB and not even in our division, then we might as well be Iowa fans- with one notable exception... Iowa fans can rightly complain about their team. We're just acting like children. It's a long season and the Legends division is weak. MSU has already lost and we can make our own luck going forward. We have a strong team, but OSU is just better. How hard is that to accept?

  15. Win or lose, Martinez has guts and a will for a Nebraska victory. I think he's just getting stronger. Let's hope he stays injury-free and plays to his potential. He totally gets the MVP for this last game, and I think the leadership and team chemistry we're seeing across the board with our very talented guys coming together is a compliment to a fearless team leader. Abdullah, Burkhead, Compton, the entire O line, the entire defense (particularly in the WI game), K Bell, Maher and several other guys I'm forgetting are making this a damn fun year of fandom so far.
  16. We're very well adjusted. We eat healthy and we try to avoid stress.
  17. Watch the Iowa game for a primer on how to shut down Michigan. We absolutely can do this.
  18. I'm still irritated, as well. As I was watching NW prepare to mount another unlikely assault on our endzone, I mentioned to my GF that there are only two people on that team that can really beat us- Colter and Ebert. I jokingly asked her if I should call Bo at memorial stadium a few miles away and tell him this so he could double team the S**. A couple plays later, Ebert is running his ass off after receiving a pass with no one within 6 yards of him. 81 yard soul-killing play. I know they had a great running drive, and we should have stopped it, too. How we stop Cousins and Cunningham one week and look like every bit of a top 5 team, then forget to double team the top NW guys the next week is beyond me. Did they not watch any NW films? It's the same crap every 3rd down. Stop 2 guys and they can't beat you. And, yes, IU has no chance in hell. NW might do it, otherwise, I think we'd all be happy with a solid 10-2, no coin toss CCG, and prayers of an at-large BCS. In my opinion, we'll deserve it, and very possibly get it, if we can beat Michigan and Iowa at home. If we can manage this, the bowl itself shouldn't be a big problem, given that the really dangerous teams (1-6) will be safely tucked away in the top tier BCS bowls.
