  1. Definitely agree with this. Was off to a great start. Don't think he ever fully recovered from his injury. With another off-season to get stronger and work on technique, I think he's in for a big jump.
  2. Thanks to everyone for their nominations and votes. I'll be getting the avatars out to the rest of the team shortly.
  3. My apologies for being slow to wrap this up. I've been traveling for most of the last 10 days and it wasn't around much. Congrats to the HuskerBoard Support Staff! 4. As far as I can tell, this is the list of players that made it. 2017 was pretty short on quantity - as far as guys who have/will get offers. But was a pretty decent crew of 2018 guys. I would imagine that Craddieth will get an offer shortly. 2017 WR Jaevon McQuitty - Columbia, Missouri WR Keyshawn Johnson, Jr. - Calabasas, California TE Austin Allen - Aurora, Nebraska OT Alan Ali - Keller, Texas OT Mark Kallenberger - Bettendorf, Iowa CB Darnay Holmes - Calabasas, California QB Jordan Flowers - Omaha, Nebraska RB Jaylin Bradley - Bellevue, Nebraska RB Bradley Bunner - Clarkson, Nebraska WR Jafar Armstrong - Mission, Kansas WR Sterling Smith - Lincoln (Southeast), Nebraska WR Andrew White - Millard (North), Nebraska TE Logan Strom - Norfolk, Nebraska OG Patrick Arnold - Gretna, Nebraska OG Tyler Ciurej - Bellevue (West), Nebraska OG Benjamin Lingenfelter - Neligh, Nebraska OG Alex Hofmaier - Omaha (Gross), Nebraska OT Trent Hixson - Omaha (Skutt), Nebraska OT Josh Rivas - Hutchinson, Kansas DT Brett Kitrell - Ashland, Nebraska DT Kevin Williams - Omaha (North), Nebraska DE Jordan Paup - Central City, Nebraska DE Angel Dominguez - Lenexa, Kansas DE Keiondre Hall - Columbia, Missouri DE Blake Minden - Millard (West), Nebraska LB Noah Urbanek - Kearney, Nebraska LB Kyrei Fisher - Tulsa, Oklahoma LB Davon Wells-Ross - Omaha (North), Nebraska LB Jack Begley - Omaha (North), Nebraska LB Lane McCallum - Norfolk, Nebraska ATH Rhett Harms - Crete, Nebraska 2018 WR Kamryn Babb - St. Louis, Missouri TE Cameron Jurgens - Beatrice, Nebraska OG Will Farniok - Sioux Falls, South Dakota ATH Houston Griffith - Chicago WR Dallas Craddieth - Florissant, Missouri
  5. Since Allen seems to be waiting, KJJ will be Next.
  6. I agree there isn't a perfect system. And there probably isn't a way to help out schools on the other end of the spectrum, like Lexington. Though South Sioux City is 68% Hispanic and they still seem to be competitive. But I don't see the "one class down" system ever going anywhere. Like I said, there would be several schools that are the "target" of doing something differently that wouldn't be affected at all. It would bump a few of the big names to B (GICC, St. Cecilia, Kearney Catholic, Norfolk Catholic). That would be a good start. But then it gets ugly. Would Parkview Christian (enrollment 34), College View Academy (enrollment 45) and Omaha Christian Academy (enrollment 59) have to be in Class B? But Falls City Sacred Heart (enrollment 53) only get bumped to D-1 while Heartland Lutheran (enrollment 55) and Humphrey St. Francis (enrollment 50) get to stay where they are. It's one of those proposals that sounds good because of the first couple schools that come to mind but doesn't make much sense when you dig into the whole story.
  7. Will be interesting to see how his recruitment goes. He doesn't have offers from very many of those schools but has apparently been hearing from them. But he could reel in a bunch of big offers pretty quickly. BTW, he's apparently dropped to the #1135 overall prospect if you were wondering....
  8. The Game - Pick nine teams in the tournament The Goal - Accumulate the most actual points scored by your teams during the entire tournament The Catch - Your nine teams have to meet the following criteria: One #1 seed, two teams seeded #2, #3 or #4, two teams seeded #5, #6, #7 or #8, two teams seeded #9, #10, #11 or #12 and two teams seeded #13, #14, #15 or #16 The contest is for the entire tournament. Thus, if you are selecting any teams playing in the Opening Round, your entry - posted to this thread - is due by the time their game starts. Otherwise, all entries are due by the tip of the first game on Thursday morning. If you put in an entry then make any changes, you need to check the "Edit" box when modifying your post. 9. He's at practice but just doing rehab drills with trainers. Progress sounds good, though.
  10. Parrella working on him hard. Planning to visit for the Spring Game
  11. I hadn't heard that idea until recently but there is some talk of only letting the private school be down one class from the public school in the same city. I don't see that ever going anywhere. It would work well in some cases (Norfolk, Kearney, Grand Island, Columbus, etc.) but it wouldn't affect Pius, Skutt, Humphrey St. Francis, David City Aquinas, etc. and would be pretty harsh on some others (North Platte St. Pat's, Falls City Sacred Heart, etc.). Just too uneven with who it affects.
  12. You won't lose 4-5 guys in one year because some will redshirt and some will play. We only took 2 last year so if you take 5 and 2 redshirt it makes it more spaced out. And one from last year's class redshirted while some from next year's class will play. So you could still lose 5 in a year.
