  1. I split it out because very little of it is talking about POB. Almost every post is a descendant of the now-OP.
  2. Yes - that is, he's lacking the two traits that are far-and-away the MOST important traits of playing QB in the NFL.
  3. Would sell the tickets to tomorrow's game vs. Delaware St. for $6 as well.
  4. I didn't get to watch the game but coaches can't call time outs now if that makes any difference. I think they still can but only at certain times of the game...not live action like when a guy is diving on a ball Right. I didn't know when you were wanting him to call timeout. He could call timeout at some point during their big run (if that's what you meant) but couldn't call time out to save a possession during a live ball. Yeah...after they scored like 10 times in a row...he should have been calling TO's Gotcha.
  5. Hasn't taken any OVs. Doesn't have any set yet. But listed Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Washington, and Arizona State (if they offer) as places he's looking to visit. He did unofficially visit OK St.
  6. Interesting here. I thought we were leading earlier but thought Clemson had pulled ahead. However, here's a few pieces put together. Not saying it's right, but it fits. Nate Clouse thinks he knows who the silent commit it, thinks he's a "big" target and thought there was a good chance he would reveal himself this week. A + B + C doesn't have to equal D .... but it could. Not saying this is who Nate thinks it is, but it would fit. Would be impressive to swipe him out from under the nose of the #1 team in the country.

  9. POB is vastly superior to Stanton. Even at the JUCO level Stanton is subpar. At the risk of derailing this thread, his stats don't exactly look sub par. He's completing 62.6% of his passes. Accounting for almost 300 yards of total offense per game. Threw 3 picks the first game. Since then his TD/INT is 17/5. And they've won their last 8 games. Saddleback isn't exactly in the realm of, for example, Butler Community College. It wouldn't be a JUCO that coaches would say, "Man, we've gotta get a pipeline to that place going!" if that makes sense. POB can complete every pass on the tree. Johnny's a great guy, but he's far too erratic, second guesses himself too much and that snowballs into panic. POB knows what he can do, does it extremely well and doesn't let the little stuff get to him. You've watched a bunch of his games this year? Actually, yes. Which games has he looked that bad?

  11. The problem is his mechanics - his footwork in particular - are so poor that he simply can not be a consistent thrower. His completion percentage is low and the NFL is a completion percentage league. The other thing - and it's probably related - is TA isn't a precision passer. That is, even when he completes passes, he's not hitting receivers on the move often enough. The passes are high, low or behind the receivers so they can't catch it on the run. You saw a lot of that in the Michigan State game where he almost got Westy killed a couple times and both Reilly and Carter have saved picks the last two games by taking the ball away from a DB who was in better position than the receiver. Also, the random throw up a punt decision every now and then won't fly for a second. I know the premise of you question is "what if he improves." But TA's problem is the mechanical issues are so ingrained they simply can't be fixed. I could tell from his first start and it's still the same to this day.
  12. Didn't realize he was going against Jack Stoll in the first round. Only 8 guys left.

  15. West is assured at least a split again this year.
