  1. One month from today!

  2. Crystal Ball had been all Minny but a Gophers beat writer for 247 put in a pick for the Huskers today.
  3. Might be interesting to see how they handle the #2. Seems like both players are pretty set on it. I would think Darlington would get the nod on seniority but it might depend on how close either is to playing time. If Stevenson has to switch, #22 is taken (Ozigbo). There are a few numbers in the 20s available ..... including #20.

  5. Added a couple questions to the top. Let me know if I need to add more options.
  6. Agree with Moiraine. This is a great topic. 1 - Nebraska 2 - B1G when not playing Nebraska except... 3 - Ohio State - nothing personal, I'm just an underdog-rooter 4 - Teams playing teams ranked ahead of Nebraska 5 - Underdog/Whatever causes more BCS/Playoff selection chaos 6 - Oregon 7 - Georgia .... n-6 - Big XII n-5 - Miami n-4 - Florida State n-3 - Colorado (though this isn't as much fun anymore) n-2 - Notre Dame n-1 - Texas n - SEC except Georgia

  9. Scratch that, there was a rule change in 2013... (Doing some good ol' reseach...) Same rule now reads as: "When a player enters the game after changing his jersey number, he must report to the referee, who then informs the opposing head coach and announces the change. Such a player who enters the game without reporting commits a foul for unsportsmanlike conduct" So there you go, as long as the player notifies referee, the referee announces it. A jersey change during game can occur during the game. http://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/files/Final%202013%20and%202014%20Football%20Rule%20Changes.pdf That sounds right. Was it UCLA a couple years ago that we had to have an announcement every time their holder or someone came into the game because he was a different number?
  10. Just didn't repeat it from above. That would be why there are only four other visits listed.
  11. You are correct on this. #60 and #64 are the only two not in use anymore. It took me awhile to figure out but that's why those two numbers are in red on the face of North Stadium while all the other "retired jerseys" are in black.
  12. Will also take OVs to West Virginia, Penn State and Rutgers. Ohio State will probably be his fifth visit but he's still considering Florida as well.
  13. Are they able to do like 02 vs 2? Similar to 00 and 0 are different? No. In basketball you can have either 0 or 00 but not both.
  14. Interesting. I guess there's no big deal right now. They can wait and see where they end up on the depth chart as the first game approaches and then go from there.
  15. Apparenlty Burtch and Broekemeier are both #9 which I'd never noticed. Don't think there's a lot of chance for Broekemeier to be on the field. Darlington was #6 in high school but Bush already has that number. #5, 12, 14, 16 and 18 are all QB-type numbers that are available.
  16. So what the heck is going to happen with Zack Darlington? He's #2 currently. I assume we can't have two guys with the same number on the same side of the ball. OR can we, as long as we manage them not being on the field at the same time? You can't have two with the same number on the field at the same time. So it's possible but I'm sure Darlington is switching to some other number.
