  1. I'll share some credit around but there's been a couple others who've suggested something like it. Just finally got around to doing it. We could absolutely vote on a name. Assuming we get enough suggestions to have a vote.
  2. So ... obviously this doesn't include Riley. So why this forum? Because apparently out of the eight coaches they picked, three of the five hottest happen to be on the Huskers' schedule this year. Perhaps we'll get the Riley Era started by ending the Era of a couple other guys. Warning: a couple NSFW words in here. Link
  3. Phil Beckner's 100 Things I've Learned About Coaching at the College Level
  4. This is from a series of tweets by Sam McKewon. Since we can only embed two tweets per post, I've just copied the content instead of having to embed the tweets across several posts. Pretty interesting.
  5. Actually I did mention that Taylor is the closest to the mold that Riley likes. I've seen several places where they've said they like a bigger back. Both Ozigbo (5-11, 220) and Thomas (6-0, 190) are bigger backs. Thomas has the frame to add weight and I bet he'll be over 200 when he gets to campus in a year. Stevenson isn't as tall but he's well put-together (5-9, 205). Newby is close to that size (5-10, 200) but Wilbon is a little smaller (5-8, 190). Cross (6-1, 240) is obviously a big back but he just doesn't have a big of a skill set as the others do. It's pretty obvious when he got moved down to the white team for the Spring Game after working with the Reds all spring.
  6. Yeah I am a little surprised by that. I'm not sure I'm surprised but it is pretty telling.
  7. Can't imagine this would be us but... https://twitter.com/NeverDone_21/status/628381071072186370

  9. Particularly if someone has a good idea for a name for this project. I was going to try to stay away from Crystal Ball to avoid confusion but if everyone wants to go with that it's fine. Surely someone more creative than I can come up with something.
  10. Coming to a Recruiting Forum near you.... The HuskerBoard Recruiting Predictor I'll be adding a poll to each recruit's profile thread for people to put in their prediction for which school a recruit will choose. We'll start with the Class of 2017 and add future classes as we go. Hopefully you'll be predicting Nebraska a lot but you can put in a prediction for any school. We'll be keeping track of which members are the best Predictors. I'm still working on a scoring system but right now I'm thinking 5 points for a correct Prediction with some bonus for how far ahead you put in your Prediction. You'll only be eligible to score points if you make a post stating your Prediction. You're free to change it at any time before the recruit announces his choice - just post stating your new choice and change your vote in the poll. I'll start the poll with a couple schools that seem to be front-runners but feel free to post any school. I'll get them added to the poll as soon as I can and then you can vote there. I'm open to suggestions on any part of this whole process so consider this an open forum to throw out your ideas or comment on other ideas. Standings
  11. The thinking before his visit was it was between us and West Virginia with West Virginia holding the edge. 18 or 19 Crystal Ball picks are for WVU - one for tOSU. Perhaps we can change his mind....
  12. Who?That RB commit last class that wavered and recommitted a couple times and then committed to Tennessee after reaffirming his commitment days before, then ultimately signed when aTm. The dude with all the dream schools. 4 I think he had Says the guy with three RBs in his name.
  13. Going out on a limb and assuming that particular RB was not Imani Cross. Its Newby with everyone else trailing Yep. But I'm curious to see where Taylor lands after some more recovery time. Davis said he was tentative in the 6-7 practices before spring break, still not fully trusting the ankle. In the first few after the break he looked a lot better. Now with more recovery and training time, I think he'll be right in the mix. Plus he better fits the mold of the "big back" that Riley and Co. favor than Newby or Wilbon. I think a 1-2 punch of Newby and Taylor will get a lot of run this year.
  14. Still no votes for the Heroes Game/Trophy?
