  1. Not sure if you were just pointing that out or noting that his profile could be updated. Traditionally, only the offers in place at the time the Huskers offered are included in the profile. You can always see current offers by going to the recruiting web pages. It's interesting to see how early - or late - the Huskers are to the party. I've thought about re-listing offers at the time of commitment but haven't gotten around to that.
  2. Here's the list of all 300 players. Click the tabs at the top to switch positions.
  3. Anderson is a little surprising consider he really came on as the year went. Not surprised about Cooper. He's a solid player but nothing special.
  4. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 26s27 seconds ago Three #huskers -- Abullah, Bell, Gregory -- headed to NFL Combine. Former NU RB Braylon Heard is. too. Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH now1 minute ago Thought maybe Anderson and Cooper would. They'll have to do their workouts at Nebraska, presumably.
  5. Dan Hoppen ‏@danhoppen 34s35 seconds ago Former #Huskers Ameer Abdullah, Kenny Bell and Randy Gregory have been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.
  6. So pretty much tells you grades are the issue. He can't get an official offer until he looks like a qualifier. That plus JUCO = grades.
  7. Looks like DJ Singleton and Tre'Vell Dixon. I didn't think about the JUCO guys. That does make a difference. Definitely unlucky on some. Depends on how wide a net is being cast on "management." Most of the non-JUCO guys were attitude problems. Perhaps they should have not recruited them but not sure what could be done other than that. Might be good management to have them gone.
  8. Not quite the same but I didn't realize so many had already left: Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 34s35 seconds ago Of the 32 defensive players Nebraska signed to scholarships in the 2011-2013 classes, 15 are left. #huskers Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH now2 minutes ago 7 of 14 have left from 2013 class already. (Gregory declared for NFL). And, to be honest, I could see more departing from that class.
  9. Didn't know where to put this so it goes here. Didn't realize it was this bad: Samuel McKewon ‏@swmckewonOWH 34s35 seconds ago Of the 32 defensive players Nebraska signed to scholarships in the 2011-2013 classes, 15 are left. #huskers
  10. History In Facts ‏@HistoryInFacts 14m14 minutes ago While filming Rocky IV, Stallone asked Lundgren to try to knock him out for real. He ended up in the ICU for 9 days.
  11. Because he's already visited Stanford and Northwestern but isn't even sure if he's going to visit here at all. Also, he said academics is first and foremost. We're a pretty distant third in that group.
  12. Not deciding for awhile but it doesn't look good for us, imo.
  13. I don't see a connection. Didn't cross my mind until others said something.
  14. Eh, cheater is probably accurate. Zero chance he didn't know about deflate-gate. Now how much advantage that cheating was gaining is probably pretty small.
  15. I feel like too many people are forgetting about Joshua Kalu at CB. I think him and Lee are the starters at the end of the year. I love me some Kalu but he's more of a Safety by trade. Played the Nickel last year but I'm not sure if he's played on the outside much.
  16. Not sure. According to Nate Clouse a couple days ago he committed. But I haven't seen anything else. Nate Clouse ‏@NateClouse 14m14 minutes ago Sutton, Neb. RB/ATH Noah Johnson tells me he has committed to the #Huskers as a preferred walk-on. #nebpreps
  17. I can't wait unit the appeal of Stanford is gone. Took a step in that direction last year. Yeah, it will be quite interesting to see if they bounce back or continue to fade. The latter seems more likely to me.
  18. Mainly I just thought it was interesting. I'm kind of a history buff and when you combine history and Huskers, you have my attention. But it also contributes to a discussion that comes up from time to time - especially recently. Whether or not coaches that win a lot of games should be fired, have they been given enough time and is the program headed in the right direction. I think it was right to fire Frank - I just don't think he was the right man for the job. Others say he won a lot of games and some even say he was a good recruiter. This seems to indicate otherwise to some extent. Plus it also provides some context for the last 15 years, depending on what you want to believe. I think it's pretty plausible that Frank did well with Tom's recruits and guys soon after that who came here on his coattails. By the time Frank left, we didn't have much talent to work with. That handicapped Callahan - plus being a terrible fit - but he did have some better talent in here by the time he left. Pelini arguably did the best early on with Callahan's recruits.
  19. Kind of an interesting look back via the OWH.
  20. Rob Cassidy ‏@Cassidy_Rob now9 seconds ago Stanford has offered Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton DL Garrett Rand. Won't be shocked if that's it for his recruitment. @bangulo @StanfordRivals Rob Cassidy ‏@Cassidy_Rob now11 seconds ago Long ago, Rand told me Stanford was the only school that could cause hint o make an early commitment. And now here we are.
  21. Brian Rosenthal ‏@HuskerExtraBR 7m7 minutes ago Good week for Shavon Shields. Reached 1,000 career points, named first-team Academic All-District VII. Has 3.73 GPA in biological sciences.
  22. Signing ceremony today as school was cancelled yesterday: DJ ‏@DaishonNeal90 2m2 minutes ago Glad to be a Husker! #GBR!
  23. OLB? Sean Merriman ‏@BTNSean 21m21 minutes ago Michigan State three-star OLB signee Drake Martinez must sit out next season and will have two seasons of eligibility starting in 2016.
