  1. I hope we finally MAKE someone try to beat us over the top instead of throwing short and running for 30 yards.
  2. Cooper working into a Peso-like role. I think I like it.
  3. They are running different formations but not a lot of different personnel. Do we really need to sub every play?
  4. According to Joey Galloway, Ar St. went for it "at their own 50 yard line." I didn't realize we had the Fox PPV color guys on this game.
  5. I'm fairly familiar with the generalities but not the specifics. Among the new mandates (paraphrasing): - Smaller portions of the main dish - Main dish can't be in the biggest divider in the tray - Can't have higher fat items on the salad bar - meats, dressings, etc. - No salt shakers - Have to charge for second helpings Some things our school is facing: - Current trays don't meet the requirements - serving on styrofoam trays until sure the mandates are permanent/won't be relaxed - Sharply reduced numbers eating at school - eating fast food downtown (much healthier) - excess food thrown away because students have to pay for extra My biggest complaint, other than what has been listed above - as was alluded to earlier - is our 6'4" 285 lb senior DT is getting the same portions as a 4'11" 85 lb. freshman girl. Much as you try, you can't shove everyone into the same box.
  6. I'll chime in. Watching the replay. We're up 21-19 in the second. Wonder how it comes out?
  7. At least Indiana and Minnesota looked good today.
  8. I've always thought exactly the opposite. A team already playing a game has a chance to get a few kinks out while the other team is doing everything for the first time.
  9. Offense continue to roll although they meet somewhat more resistance than last week (pass rush). Defense will give up a couple big plays but also forces their frosh QB into a couple mistakes. Relatively close game at the half (7-10 points) but the Huskers pull away in the second half.
  10. Almost like being there. OK, maybe not quite but at least makes me wish I was there. Thanks!
  11. Or perhaps ESPN knew to stay away from Georgia: Full Article
  12. My wife is from Aurora, NE. She spent 5 years at UNL while her family lived in Lincoln. She has been married to a Husker fan for going on 7 years. She knows absolutely nothing about Husker football, and has zero interest. It's not a "West Coast" thing, it's a "not cool enough to understand" thing! True. Not everyone is a sports fan. But there are 1.5 million people in Nebraska spread over 500 miles and they've filled the stadium every game for 50 years. There are nearly 4 million people in LA spread over 25-30 miles and they can't get half that for probably the second-highest ranked opponent they'll play all year.
  13. Maybe they're going to cover the new championships they've won. I wasn't complaining so much as just saying I don't think that is the best game of the weekend. Especially when one reason given - as I stated earlier - was covering aTm's first SEC game when you could have gone to Missouri, covered a "first SEC game" and had at Top 10 team to go with it.
  14. I bet no one knows what they're going to run on offense.
  15. The good news: There is now football on about five nights a week for the next three months. The bad news: Sometimes this game is all the better we get.
  16. Of course, he didn't necessarily say that it would be that way on the football field...
  17. Actually, the only reason we were that "heavy" on the run is because the 4th quarter was 17-2 run-pass after the game was put away. We were slightly over 50% PASSING through three quarters.
  18. I'm not a Twitter-er so forgive me if I'm not looking at this correctly but he seemed to indicate that he'll be graduating early and showing up in January. Anyone know if that's the case?
