  1. If the DC is knowledgeable, and done his homework, we should be able to make adjustments at anytime in the game. To play in the same basic D for the first half of the game and let them score 42 points with out changing is a big ???? To do the same thing over and over and expect a different result is called stu###.
  2. Why can't we make adjustments during the game in the first half. Seems to me we need to adjust to what the other team is doing. I haven't seen this in a long time.
  3. It sure looked to me like Oregon played not to lose the game in the second half. This happens when you get up by 28 at the break and you take the other team for granted. Its sad to see Nebraska look so bad in the first two games. I don't think we look any better after two plus years with this coaching staff. I think we need to spend some money and go after a proven winner to get the program revenant again.
  4. This is on the AD, why hire someone who has proven he is a 500 percent coach in the first place. It makes no sense to me why Nebraska would do this. You have many up and coming coaches in the country and to hire a person that is on the verge or retirement is not acceptable. You need someone who can relate to the student athletes and fire them up. What I see on the sidelines is a joke.
  5. How many times can they run the same pass play and Nebraska not change the D? Lets count?
  6. Just like the colleges that have puppy dogs and coloring books and safe rooms for there students. The world has changed and you can see that in the way Nebraska football has performed sense 1997. Nebraska needs to get back to the basics of the game, blocking, running the ball, tackling and all the things Nebraska was noted for. I don't remember any player from the 1970-1999 having grade problems as a senior. If I remember, Nebraska was also noted for how they made sure student athletes went to class and held them accountable for there scholarships. We no longer hold anybody accountable for what do in todays society and that is what most people are talking about in this topic. Get back to what works!!!
  7. I agree, felt like we were going to win from the start. Not much drama.
  8. I agree, seemed like we had 8-10 first down runs up the middle for 1-2 yard gains. I told my wife on several first downs where the ball was going and was right every time. That is sad because I never coached football and admit know little about it, but come on, it dose not take a genius to figure out what we were doing on first down, second down, third down. Are we that banged up on the o line?
  9. Catching the ball on the two yard line, block in the back, running what seems like the same play on first down 7-8-9 times on first down, no pass rush, no coverage in the secondary, roll out pass on 4 and less than one yard, can it get any better?
  10. Why are we so far off the receivers in every game we played this year? No pass rush.
  11. Both teams look real good and we play in there house.
  12. I learned I really don't have any idea what we are doing on offense, defense or the during the football game!
  13. Do you think we can pull are heads out of the gutter? How many times have we been flagged? Lucky to be up in this game.
  14. I don't think wins in football are in any way related to the belief in god. The point is that people who believe have less stress, far less time spent on negatives and are not worried about the political crap going on in this country and can focus on and keep in prospective what the game of football is all about. Statistically, you don't have near enough evidence to back up your claim that faith in God is correlated with wins. Look up some other coaches, those who believe in God and those who don't (good luck picking out the ones who aren't just saying it). Then get back to me. Logically, as a Christian, I say this is crazy talk. There are people getting raped and shot every day, and having faith in God leads to more football wins? What happens when one Christian coach's team plays against another Christian coach's team? What's the 2nd factor involved in deciding? Which coach prayed the most? Which coach was born-again first? Which coach saved the most non-believers? It's ridiculous to think belief in God leads to more wins. The only thing I will say is perhaps not having football as your #1 priority helps you relax more and not act like a jerk to the players, and could perhaps help in that regard.
  15. Wow what a topic. Look at what is playing outing the political world in america today. Every person i know that has a strong faith in god lives with a lot less stress in there lives. Nebraska has been a leader in having faith as a part of the football program for years. Look a the NFL players kneeling down after a game, pointing upward after scoring and talking about faith in news articles. As a high school student I had the fortune to meet with TO at a fellowship of christians athletes meeting in Omaha and can say that Christ play a major role in athletics and every day life for me. I can only hope our new coach shares these same values.
