Do we know how to defend the pass? Every game we give up so much yardage in the passing game. Made it look easy.

I watched NW the last two weeks and they looked bad. We have a way of making teams look a lot better than they are. We play to the level of the teams we play against. No killer instinct. We can't put teams away.

Why do we play so far off the receivers?

We have 18-22 year old student athletes on the field that play a game called football. Any team can have good games and bad games. To predict what will happen in a week or month is crazy. Far too many things happen in the game of football to make predictions. Glad we are 2-0 go huskers.

I agree. It was especially concerning to me when he called a pass play in the waning moments of the game and killed the clock after a negative run play. That could have backfired on us but it didn't so not a lot of people are talking about it. I'd like to believe Langsdorf has learned from this season not to take play calling for granted and is able to manage a game better. Agree. The 3rd and 1 pass play on the drive that resulted in the field goal had me upset. We were bulldozing them and could have had 1st and goal from the 2 while taking another minute plus off the clock. This is what has caused the Husker fans to go nuts all year long. Passing the ball from the one foot line on third down drives me crazy. We were running the ball for 3-7 yards pops all game long, and then the OC throws the ball from the one foot line. I don't think the OC can help himself, he is pass first oriented and wants to pass the ball. The West coast and NFL teams do this all the time and this is what he believes will work. Look how it played out this year.

In Texas High schools, 3-7 make the playoffs every year. Its all about money. Thats the world we live in and we are to blame. For years we have heard everybody is a winner and hand out ribbons to every person so we don't make them sad. The bowl structure is set up to make us feel good about ourself. The more teams we have the more winners we have. We lost what a champion and a winner is a long time ago. We have no one to blame but ourselves. How many of us watched the game last night, loved the win but we did not deserve to be in a bowl game with a loosing record.

I think running the ball as well as we did set up TA and gave him the confidence to be able to run and throw the ball. He is not a 40-50 pass type of quarterback. We played to the strength of our team tonight and won a great game. Hope the coaches can learn from this. Passing on the one foot line drives me nuts!

Why throw the ball with 1 foot on third ?

This coaching staff can't help but throw the ball. That is what they have done all there lives. Playing to the strength of the team is what we were told would happen. This was not the case this year and will not be the case for the future. Its easy to see that the coaches are playing to the coaches strength and not to the players strength. As long as the coaching staff is in charge at Nebraska you will see the pass first offense. My question is why would the AD bring in a pass happy staff knowing what happen under BC? This is mind blowing .

I have never liked Mark May, All he talks about is why coaches need to be fired. I would rather listen to anyone but him.

I think we can win this game. TA needs to settle down and we need to run to set up the pass. How many times have we here this?
