    This season — all of Pelini’s seasons — was like arriving at the entrance of an amusement park ride knowing how long it would last and how many turns it would take without knowing quite how, or in which order, they’d happen. You knew it wouldn’t be boring. You knew it’d be a little exhausting. You knew there would be peaks and plunges, a tunnel or two, a moment to steal your breath and a moment where the bar used to secure you in place started to rattle to...

      Except just before entering the amusement park you gobble down a Hershey's bar, only to discover it was an Ex lax bar. As you pass through the entrance you know that at some point in the amusement park you're gonna sh#t your pants. At least once, maybe a couple times. That is a Pelini season of football.
