      Contribute? yes. Transcend the team? No. We'd still be right about where we are.

      How often do individual players transcend the team? Ameer Abdullah and Taylor Martinez were athletic freaks. Neither took us any further than we've been for quite some time. For every 19/20 guys you get, you're praying they just contribute to the team. That's all any coach wants. That's why it's the ultimate team sport. Not too often you ever get one that transcends the team.
