  1. Probably the planet where basic supply and demand exists where they know that anyone who HAS to buy tickets now will be willing to pay a premium.
  2. Fact. Fact or Fiction: The baton twirler doesn't drop her baton all season.
  3. To compare to what BBBBBBBBBXIIIII predicts, here's what Vegas says: Northwestern 32, California 26 Washington 28, Boise 25 LSU 27, TCU 23 Georgia 38, Clemson 36 Alabama 32, Virginia Tech 14 Penn St. 29, Syracuse 22 Oklahoma St. 36, Mississippi St. 24 BYU 27, Virginia 24 Iowa 28, Northern Illinois 25 Cincinnati 30, Purdue 20
  4. Not that I'm doubting you, but this here is the donation map for 2013. I saw it somewhere on the board. It doesnt show anything about a visitors area in the new overhang. And it's pretty detailed as far as special sections go. I just dont see them misleading folks when it comes to things like donations and purchase of season tickets. There is a visitors section at the top of 605. So far you can only see this on the map they emailed season ticket holders, which means they're trying to keep the info from the lowly peasant Husker fans known as non-donors.
  5. What exactly excites you about him, TTTRA?
  6. Advantages: BTN Facilities Fan support Disadvantages: Location Recent success Program prestige Most all of these are a wash, as Nebraska/Oklahoma are very similar programs. Our facilities are better, but probably not by much. They have had more success historically, but not by much. They have a clear recruiting advantage due to their location, but that's probably the only sizable difference between the two programs.
  7. You seem to have higher standards than me, so probably not. It's definitely better than something like Starbucks, and is one of the better K-cups I have, but I doubt it's anything spectacular to well-traveled coffee drinkers.
  8. Hahaha, great tweet. It's also a plot spoiler for those who aren't caught up yet, but it would be difficult to figure out what it means. Speaking of spoilers, let's not do those going forward. Those aren't fun. Bitch!
  9. Couldn't disagree more. A very small amount of creamer will help a bad coffee, like Folgers or something. But a good coffee is so much better without it.
  10. What's everyone drink in the morning? A few of my favorites: And, for those of you with keurig brewers, you can register it online at keurig.com and get 2 free boxes (24 count) with the purchase of two. Pretty awesome deal.

Plus, it would look a lot cooler this time around since it's a day game where you'll actually be able to see the towels. Wisconsin was a night game and they were plenty visible. Somewhat, if the camera is zoomed in enough. The top half of south stadium looks completely dark during night games, so you're losing all those students. I'm talking about if the camera shows allllll of that part of the stadium, you'd be able to see it really well at the UCLA game.

If the team is wearing black, why shouldn't we?
  14. Well said, Bob. Just because someone identifies themselves as a Republican or Liberal doesn't bind them to agreeing with everything in the platform. And furthermore, it doesn't mean that you need to agree with everyone else in "your" party. Lumping people into two buckets doesn't make a whole lot of sense in discussions like this. Anyway. Regarding the bold, the best/easiest/quickest way for that to happen is for the country to become healthier. I would gladly accept just about any insurance law you can imagine if you'd also replace all the smoking fatasses eating KFC 17 times a week with relatively healthy individuals.
  15. He sounds extremely reasonable and fair so far in his analysis. I guess it's possible for someone to both be a Husker fan and critical of the program's shortcomings. Who knew?
  16. Which bar does the best job of accompanying gameday crowds, teach? It's so tough to tell. There's so many choices to go on gameday and only 7-8 games a year to experience it. You want to have a good time, but you don't want to miss out on a better time somewhere else, you know? A lot of that really does come from service, and some places just aren't as reliable when it comes to accommodating those big crowds. What do you think?
  17. Eh. Our recruiting (by ranking) is basically equivalent to our on-field results. The recruiting numbers (I know. I know.) say that we're a lower to borderline top 25 team. The on-field results basically say that we're a lower to borderline top 25 team. Now if we had pulled in a top 10 (or top 5!) class and still had the same coaches then I would be singing a different tune. Absent that I can't see how anyone can expect anything too different from what we've seen the last 4-5 years. I think you know about the weakness of that argument, so I won't bother going into detail. Which part? There is, somewhere down the line, a subjective rating which could be biased. So that makes the whole thing invalid? I'm not sure where you're coming from on this, but the subjectivitiy in ranking teams/recruits has almost no measurable effect on the correlation between those two rankings. It's not hard to understand that, on average, teams tend to perform better with better players. And it's a pretty strong fit.

  19. File this one into the category "things a competent AD would never say". Brother, AD's at the high school level (especially private ones) say it all the time, period. Which means it gets said at the D1 level a lot more. AD'ing 101 man, I could tell you some stories of garbage just at the private school level for all ages. Even the private ones?! Damn, I didn't realize that. Good point.

  21. Currently in negotiations with the Chinese to purchase a panda. Will post pics once they give in.
