  1. Yes, by the time you reach the college level of play, you should be lable to tackle in your sleep. That is why you get recruited at this level. So, Alonzo, get your LB rear end in gear and tackle.
  2. What the hell took Papuchis this long to see this? Isn't that what spring ball and fall camp is supposed to be for? We got schooled as to why speed is the most important component on the field. This is also a huge problem. Why the hell should a playbook be so damned hard? Football is about two things, blocking and tackling! Way too much time spent on technique and scheme. Get to the ball! Swarm the point of attack. Run through your angle of tackle. Duh! http://www.omaha.com...RED/709109864/0
  3. am i the only one worried that we will lose cotton to wiscy? I have a whole lot of cardboard boxes and a 16 foot trailer I will donate to help in the move!
  4. Find 11 guys, (regardless of the number of years on the team), that want to play, play hard for 4 quarters and want to win the damned game. The defense played like some third rate Pop Warner misfits.
  5. He played better than most for the Huskers. He did not give up all the yards that beat us.
  6. 1. If the offensive line blocks like it is supposed to and plays with some intensity/will to win, T-Magic's "significant liabilities" disappear. He is a very good QB. He did not give up the yards that beat us. 2. Baker S. has been a real "bust" for this team. He is not a prolific player like his hype says he is. Very average at his best. He is not the answer and for those who think this will be his year, stay tuned. You will be greatly disappointed.
  7. One thing that amazed me is, once he broke through the line, how he literally ran away from the pursuing D backs and safety. The kid can flat out run.
  8. No one benefits from repeats. Huskers have not had good luck at playing repeat bowls. Not good. Anyone remember Oklahoma? How about Washington? Nope, not good.
  9. How about just a plain old kick in the Azzzzzzzzzzzz starting with the coaching staff on down. You gotta want to win the damned game more than the other team before you start talking about personnel and scheme.
  10. Do not say Dr. Tom Osborne and Pelini in the same sentence.
  11. Most teams will eat us alive unless there is some extremely significant changes in coaching and player intensity.
  12. What would one expect after that pathetic and lack luster performance? That display of NU football on national TV was despicable.
  13. Sad, very sad! $2.875 million and we get what? There are homeless kids running the streets of Lincoln, Nebraska and we waste our money watching Sh!t football.
  14. Clean out your pipe bowl. It isn't gonna happen. After last night, I don't see NU in any bowl.
  15. Post of the night! Now, I think I will go to bed and dream of better years!
  16. I would respectfully disagree! But then ....................................
  17. There was a thread here recently where a number of folks who posted in that thread said that passion, intensity, determination and emotional play were over rated and had nothing to do with winning. Ask yourselves that now!
  18. Maybe I am missing something here? Isn't this an open forum? Shouldn't folks be allowed to honestly vent their opinions openly? Locking down threads that indicate the distaste for the performance of the team seems a little extreme. We all cheer when we win and there are not thread lock downs for over exuberant threads of happy fans.
  19. Perhaps we can get some more Cardinal Mooney coaches and players to sign on.
  20. If you can't block and you can't tackle, you cannot win. Too much emphasis spent on technique and scheme. Block hard, tackle hard and play like you give a ch!t.
  21. Grief is the correct word! This is absolutely pathetic.
