  1. Anybody know how many kids we will be taking this year?
  2. Correct. From '14, there's still Tyrin Ferguson
  3. Simmons did. But JoJo, you are now on the clock.
  4. Another knock was that he didn't control his team, a lot of entitlement towards the end. Strong has done a lot of cleaning house, I think I heard he's a man of high character, but regardless, may take a little bit for him to change that culture within the program.
  5. Any ideas why Irons is leaving?
  6. Plus, there was plenty to be high about 5 years ago. The program was trending up, had one of the best defenses in the nation in '09 with plenty of returners, especially in the secondary. Then TMagic lights it up for first 6-7 games of season as the team climbs into top 10. Also, all of those teams except Cleveland Browns have won a title in the last 20 years, give or take 1-2 years. As well as Arkansas football trending up too, hate to admit it, but they are on the cusp of being pretty good. Like others have said, it's a troll piece bad mouthing fanbases they don't like.
  7. Maybe not, but they have the responsibility to tell them their opinion and how a kid fits into their program/schemes, not blow smoke up their rear ends just to get an athlete to commit if they have no intention of following through with promises.
  8. Kinda strange he committed to Bo and Co to play the absent role of a TE in that offense, but has less interest in Riley's 65% two TE sets and 95% one TE sets. I do understand the interest in ASU and their offense, but is it a sexy choice or smart choice or both? Has Riley even had a chance to see him perform at TE at a camp? If the only tape on him is at QB, kinda makes it hard for Riley and staff to evaluate him to even want him.
  9. Just tweeted at Jack Stoll welcoming him to the family too. Doesnt necessarily mean much, but he's investing himself in this class.
  10. I would like to have seen what Bush could have done if he ran with the 1s. Not to say it would have made all the difference because he even struggled when given time in the pocket.
  11. Yep, as I mentioned earlier. I'm not taking this promiscuously, but care to elaborate?Mom holds quite a bit of weight here and mom likes Mike Riley/Nebraska. Not trying to be a smarta**, just not sure there's a lot more to it really. Rileys just a very genuine/likeable guy that parents will love/trust.Gotcha. didn't take it that you were, just wasn't sure if there was some odd history that they knew each other prior to recruitment. Couldn't quite tell if there was more to read into than just the relationships Riley, and his staff, create with recruits and their influencers.

  13. Wow, his interview on USC, he has a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. Liked listening to his interview.
  14. Middle school dances wouldn't be the same without them... #respect
  15. Take it fwiw, a Husker recruitnik spoke a week or two ago about Wilson and the Oregon "concern," said Wilson is saying the polite things to Oregon, but he's all N when it's all said and done.
  16. Thought I just heard Benning say he thinks Fant will wind up in the PAC12, and then mentioned 3 kids in 2 years headed to the PAC12, I'm assuming he's talking about Bubak, but Phillips the third? The math doesn't add up if he's referring to Phillips, figured he was mispeaking, but is there another local kid I can't think?
  17. Satisfying indeed. It took 6-7 years to just somewhat silence the a-holes about Nebraska. Part of the reason I have a chip on my shoulder about living in WA. The following years trouncing may have even felt better for me haha. (One of my favorite stories was a family friend played for UW in the 98 game, he said two things - 1) the pooper stalls didn't have doors on them and was awkward 2) we lit them up, he's so angry coming off the field, expecting the usual smack talking fans, but the Husker fans were cheering them, thanking them, etc. he was kind of frustrated because, "they were so nice, we couldn't even be mad at the fans!")

  20. Oh I'm not saying the game had doubt, but the final score was what 27/28-14? There was definitely a different feel in that game after Huard got knocked out. Preparing for a pocket passer and then adjusting to a dual threat guy neutralized our defense.
  21. Not pretty but perfect. I miss seeing those hard nosed, stand up multiple defenders and still manage to get into the endzone runs. I was at this game in SeattleAt the time many including myself thought this one was going to be a real tough game Lots of people sceptical of how SF would handle the nasty away crowd NU came in cool and confident- and quieted a loud and kind of nasty crowd- to NU fans anyways Frost really showed his toughness that day and won a lot of people over He was our most physical running QBs Ive seen in nearly 50 years of watching NU. He was a beast to take down inbetween the tackles and allowed TO to develop some new twists to take advantage of that If it weren't for Tuaisosopo, it would have been an uglier game for UW. Huard had no chance, Tui's speed mixed things up against our defense, reminded me somewhat of that Northwestern game we lost. My dad and brothers went to that UW game and were local Husker fans so everyone near them was asking who UWs backup was when Huard got hurt, no one knew, not even UW fans. Tui outplayed Huard, and UW fans fell in love with Tui and wasn't hard to forget Huard. Back to Frost, he was one of my favorite Huskers. Does anyone have video of the decleater he threw as a lead blocker on a reverse? That was one of the most bada** hits I've ever seen from a QB.
  22. I'm not going to, nor will I dismiss that recruiting doesn't doesn't bring success. I am a firm believer in top15 classes being the absolute lowest ranking to be within national title contention. The numbers and evidence is there, you're right. To hang on to any pride leftover, I have my doubts about nebraska being a top5 recruiting class without seeing results on the field. By no means are we a sexy school with a splash hire.
  23. I beg to differ. Yes, you can have a "splash hire" at a "hot" school and get instant recruiting success, but success on the field matters. Yes, Texas had a #1 class in 2002. The following classes that lead to a title? 15/18/20. After they won a title? #5 and better. Texas had the highest/worst average team ranking for recruiting leading up to their title in last 10-15 years. When the worst recruiting class average leading up to a national championship run is around 12th nationally - 15/18/20 doesn't scream stellar, IMO.
  24. Something Bruce and TO had in common?
