  1. I really hope they get it figured out soon, because I'm not dropping Dish Network. They are cheaper and better than Direct TV!
  2. I heard the same and it's true. People need to lobby big-time to Dish in order to get them to work harder at agreeing to a contract with BTN. That really stinks, I was hoping that I just heard a nasty rumor.
  3. I have Dish Network and I saw a message that they might be getting rid of the B1G Network starting September 1st. Has anyone else heard anything about this? If it's true, I might be interested in switching to Direct TV.
  4. I'm saying that we don't cover, but I do see us winning by 14 or 17.
  5. I mainly put these games where I did according to ranking of opponent. I don't think we will have a problem with Southern Miss, but we better not count them as a definite win.
  6. I am going to try to start a new one of these each week, but I am going to list the BIG team's games each week and rank what I feel are the toughest games to the easiest games each week. Feel free to agree or disagree with me on some of these. I am certainly no expert, these are just obviously my opinion: 1=Toughest 1: Michigan vs Alabama 2: Michigan State vs Boise State 3: Nebraska vs Southern Miss. 4:Penn State vs Ohio 5: Northwestern vs Syracuse 6: Illinois vs Western Michigan 7: Iowa vs Northern Illinois 8: Ohio State vs Miami(Ohio) 9: Minnesota vs UNLV 10: Wisconsin vs Northern Iowa 11: Purdue vs Eastern Kentucky 12: Indiana vs Indiana State I really don't have much to base 10, 11, and 12 on. I think they are all games that I can file under "couldn't care less about". Please feel free to disagree with any of these and let me know which ones you would change.
  7. Enough said! This guy looks like a stud! Can't wait for the first game in a week and two days, GBR!
  8. Nice to see that he's staying. Even if he doesn't end up at Nebraska, it will be nice for his teammates to have him with them for his senior year. Hopefully this will help Miles make a case and get him to Nebraska!
  9. I thought the same thing. The playoff doesn't start this year does it? I don't see us making the playoff this year, even if it did start this year. I do think we could compete with Virginia Tech this year, but I am always optimistic about the Huskers. We will know more in a couple of weeks! Excited for the start of college football!
  10. Actually I worry a bit about Minnesota in future years. They have a very good coach I see a lot of people on here picking Purdue or someone other than Wisconsin or Ohio State. I would say that they are just trying to get a rise out of people. I would say that Ohio State is going to have the best record, but Wisconsin will be the representative in the BIG championship for the Leaders. I would like to say Nebraska for the Legends, obviously, but I think it will be Michigan if they don't stumble. I think Nebraska will definitely have something to say about it though, that should be a fun game to watch between Nebraska and Michigan!
  11. I got done watching the Elite 11 on ESPN last night and I have to say that I'm really happy with how Johnny performed on the show! Can't wait to get him in a Husker uniform!
  12. I totally agree about Southern Miss. I don't see how anyone thinks we are going to lose that game!
  13. I see us going 10-2 or 9-3, but I guess I really don't see why some people think we will lose to Southern Miss. I see that as a win, not the easiest win of the season, but a win none-the-less.
  14. Rittenburg covers the Legends division in this blog entry. I guess he'll follow it up with the Leaders within a day or two. I think our schedule last year was tougher. More of our tough games are at home this year. It will be interesting to the the Leaders schedules and which one is the toughest. I would agree that the B1G didn't do us any favors with our schedule for our first two years in the conference, but it's a good way to evaluate where you are at and where you need to go. I agree that this year shouldn't be as tough as last year because of home games, it will still be a tough one though!
  15. I disagree... I dont think Miles counts this season as a "scrap season" Biggs can play the 1 or the 2 and so this does hurt depth at the guard position and directly affects if Biggs will be redshirted... I honestly dont think he will be redshirted. I agree with you on that, I don't think Miles has it in him to think of a season as scrapped. He's too much of a competitor! It will be interesting to see what happens.
  16. Unfortunately, I don't think it's as easy as that. I do agree that this next year might be scrapped, but Miles does still have to compete as much as possible. I would say that it would be great to redshirt him, but it might not be that easy of an option at this point. We can't really play a season with 8 or 9 guys, mainly because we would be one or two injuries away from a mess. I hope he is able to redshirt, but it's becoming harder and harder to be able to redshirt him just because of numbers.
  17. I would say that it definitely changes things a little bit. I don't see him being redshirted now, but I might be wrong. As I have already seen with Miles, you never know what's going to happen!
  18. Except that his track record shows that the first year or two are always difficult..............so people should NOT be surprised.................they should just be realistic and patient. I agree, I think that everyone just needs to have a little bit of patience and give him a year or two to get things going the way he wants them. Everyone needs to keep the criticism to a minimum, but that's a little much to ask of some people.
  19. I can honestly say that I wasn't blown away when I heard the name that was hired, but I am beginning to become a believer. I can't believe I am saying it without really seeing him on the sidelines yet, but let's just say that I want to believe that he can turn the program around.
  20. Of course, Miles' coachspeak will be that we can compete. And I think we will, on the "effort" front, but most observers are pretty pessimistic on the win/lose tally. (btw......anyone know how I can edit the title of the thread to spell Biggs correctly? It's driving me nuts to see it misspelled.) If it's your own post, there should be an edit button right beside the MultiQuote button. I just used it because I saw that I misspelled his name too. I've tried the edit, but that seems to only allow changes to the body of the post...........not the title itself................ It's not crucial, but it would be nice to get it right...........any other ideas? I can't help you on that one. I've only started one thread and I went back to try to edit the title, and I couldn't figure out how to do that.

  22. I'm obviously biased, but we seem to be the best choice in his top 6. It sounds like he really likes South Florida from what I'm reading on here and it sounds like other Florida schools just haven't offered yet. He would be a good get, I like the way he doesn't stop after first contact. Is it just me or does it seem like most of the kids we offer have West Virginia offers already? It isn't just you. It does seem like West Virginia is going after a lot of the same talent we are. I think their move to the Big 12 is effecting their recruiting efforts and where they are looking.
  23. I say redshirt, but it's a tough call. We may be in for a really rough year next year whether he redshirts or not. I would have to say that Biggs would be better off for himself to redshirt, but I think the Huskers would be better off if he didn't.
