  1. So.......clicked on this to see what everyone thought about Kaepernick and realized that a lot of people don't like Trump! I never have been a fan of Kaepernick and everything that centered around him last season didn't change my perception about him. I'm done talking about him now though.......please continue the Trump talk. It's sad that a lot of threads change in to a Trump thread these days.
  2. Did I miss something? Did he commit to Oregon or is everyone just assuming?
  3. I can't believe it! Talk about a great example of not giving up and fighting until the end.
  4. I've yelled loud enough a few times you'd think I was watching a football game! I don't usually get that excited about volleyball, but what can I say, I love the Huskers no matter what they are competing in!
  5. My students are wondering why I'm making so much noise. I wish I was watching this game. Come on ladies!
  6. I'm not watching and I'm on the edge of my seat! Thanks for all of the updates.
  7. Dropped the 2nd set 23-25, have to win 3 in row to win here. Yikes......... Ouch, not good at all. They must not have showed up this morning.
  8. What's happening in the second set so far?
  9. Merry Christmas everybody! Today is my 40th birthday. I would like to get 40 +1's on this to help celebrate!
  10. Can you get santa hats on everyone in my picture? Thanks buddy!
  11. It's no different than Obama blaming everything on Bush for the first few years he was in the White House. It's easy to blame the guy that came ahead of you. Obama did a great job of that and I'm sure Trump will do the same. Except for the part where Bush actually left the country in total disaster. There are legitimate criticisms of certain elements of where we're at as a country currently, for sure, but overall we are in an entirely more stable, secure, and prosperous America than we were in 2008. I agree with this a little bit, except that Obama isn't leaving things as rosy as Democrats want to think he is. Obamacare is a monumental failure and no matter how people want to spin things, it has his name tied to it so most of the blame lies right in his corner. I fully believe Obamacare will be replaced by whatever Paul Ryan draws up. Typical Republican stuff. We'll probably go back to the way it was in the 90s or pre-ACA, more or less. There's just logistically no way for Trump to promise to cover everyone with no mandate and bring costs down while people receive care that is anything but complete poo. It's very, very difficult to provide high-quality care to everyone for cheap. Anyone that tells you anything else is lying to your face. I'm going into the medical field and learning about this stuff for my job. My whole curriculum for the next few years just got turned on its head last night. So we won't have to complain about Obamacare for very long, I'd think, assuming Ryan and his colleagues can actually finish drawing up a real plan instead of just complaining about the current one for 8 years. They're about to find out that it's not a very easy road to traverse. Landlord is right. I still don't buy into Trump's version of reality-- everything is terrible, Obama screwed up literally everything he touched, our country is going to hell. Get that demagogic crap out of here and take a sober, non-partisan look at the statistics. Disconnect from the spin. Obamacare has been in big trouble from day 1 because it didn't go far enough to be sustainable. Beyond that, can someone tell me what the hell he screwed up so badly that Trump can pin failures on him? Hint: Not a whole lot. I don't think he did screw a lot of things up that badly, and never claimed he did. Obamacare was the thing he's going to be remembered for the most because he attached his name to it. It would be good if Congress, both Republicans and Democrats, worked on changing things up. If there is one thing that I hope comes from this whole Trump fiasco, it's that I hope our government takes note of how frustrated the American people are of politicians and they try to finally work together rather than Republicans vs Democrats. I don't think it will happen, but it's a pipe dream of mine.

  14. I definitely think they will go to an 8 team playoff within the next 5-10 years and that will probably be plenty for quite a while. Most years, if you aren't good enough to be in the top 8 you probably don't belong in the playoff. There would definitely be some upsets if they ever do go to 16 teams though.
  15. I don't think it would be if you would incorporate it into the bowl schedule. There is usually a lot of time in between the regular season and most bowls, so I think it would be nice to have a few more games. I don't know if it will ever get to 16, but I see it going to 8 in the future.
  16. If we ever get to this point, and I think we might eventually, this is what they say it would look like this year. I think it would be fun to watch and it would be interesting to see how things worked out in the end.
  17. Yeah...pissed is probably a bad word for it. But I did have a friend punch a whole in our wall in college when ASU beat Nebrsaka I had a friend that was so pissed at that ASU loss that he was going to kick a hole in the door and slipped and landed on his head. Another friend went looking for people to get in to a fight with. It was a bad night at Chadron State College!
  18. it will be amazing after the game saturday if we win, to see the fanbase even more divided than before. LOL. I fully expect it. Gonna be a lot of "i told you so"s and "but"s come sunday. Probably regardless what happens. I would just like to know what it would take for the "we're overrated and not that good" crowd to admit that we have a pretty decent team this year. Would we have to beat Wisconsin and Ohio State to convince everyone?
  19. He is an amazing actor! I thought he put on a very great performance on last nights episode.
  20. I was wondering the same thing. I think that Rick still had his fight in him until that point. Negan knew what he was doing with that move.
  21. Teams that play more Thursday games just don't have to compete with air time like on Saturday. It all has to do with what there is to broadcast on certain days.
  22. Is it possible that we lose the next two games, of course. I am optimistic that we can play with both teams though. It is nice to see us winning the games that we seemed to lose last year. I am predicting a win vs Wisconsin and I will be ready to get on to the board on Sunday and either see the "I told you we would win" crowd or the "I told you that we were overrated and that we would lose to Wisconsin" crowd. Either way it will be entertaining to see what people have to say!
  23. Just checked your spoiler. Good job on the predictions. You were really close as to how it would go down too.
  24. I agree, I have actually liked every season so far. Yes, there have been some episodes that didn't have much oomph but I've enjoyed it all so far.
