  1. Meant to include this on the original post, but Bo needs to sack up and get coaches on his staff that are proven to be successful and not go the easy route of just picking his buddies that will only act as his cronies. I digress.
  2. Sorry for any typos or if this was already covered in another thread as I type this out on the mobile device leaving the stadium after this piss poor performance and for the repetition of this subject. But I sincerely hope Bo and his superiors see the writing on the wall after this one that if we don't clean out the staff and get coordinators in here that aren't newbies our program will hit irrelevance if it hasn't already. The program needs a commitment to open the checkbooks for an established coach who can provide our players with the guidance and adjustments needed to achieve Bo's ever allusive goal of "execution". Puzzling play calling on offense on key 3rd downs, no urgency from the staff late in the game. Refusal to put in Armstrong to maybe spark the offense since Taylor clearly is not 100% in there. After playing a collection of sports for the first 20 years of my life, I have an understanding as do everyone else on this board that the players intensity and focus is affected by the competency and urgency of this staff. I'm baffled at the apparent acceptance of success of this staff by winning their 9 games against crap opponents and continuing to get embarrassed on national TV by better coached teams. A defensive system that seems inept to stop the WR motion/HB slam formation that any competent high school team can stop. Otherwise Bo needs to go. We no longer get the preferred time for games with crap performances, all these 11 AM games make it tougher for recruiting purposes and the decline continues from there. This may be a tad bit overreaction, but I'm simply tired and done with wasting my money to see this program continue to put out an inferior product on the field. I get its all about the student athlete and these are college sports, but the AD and those who actually have the power to make changes (unlike a drunk mad husker fan like myself ) need to address this before we lose our precious sell out streak, continue to be a fringe or non existent top 25 team, and eventually settle into irrelevancy for future teams. I guess the only good thing about these 11 aM games is that I can drink my frustrated sorrow away the rest of the afternoon haha. enjoy the rest of the weekend Husker nation. Sincerely, A fed up fan
  3. I put 80% of this loss on Becks play calling. Our defense is not good enough for him to call 3 passes in a series that all go incomplete... Very clear we still are unable to make adjustments while UCLA completely shuts us down after the first quarter...
  4. One thing is for sure, if Bo and co are hesitant to play younger players, there is no way he is changing the scheme. If he's too stubborn to let more athtic players seethe field then I highly doubt he's going to change his defensive philosophy in terms of scheme and formation.... His early years his defense was able to get the job done. Difference between those teams And this one? The quality of athletes on all 3 levels of the defense. Suh accounted for a big part as did the style of play inthe big 12 compared to B1G but I guarantee you that defense from a few years back runs circles around this years squad
  5. This topic seems rather redundant and obvious. Clearly UGA had superiors athletes and ability as their 3rd and 4th string receivers were giving our secondary fits all Game. I'm sorry but people on these boards often complain about a lack of coaching strategy and gameplan, but oftentimes yesterday we were getting torched with double coverage on those wide outs. Either getting beat over the top or the under man in coverage being so out of position that he didnt have a chance (SJB)... As others have said, our starters on defense couldn't hang and we don't have reserves. Bo's subpar early recruiting classes are an excuse for now as he seemed to do just fine with top classes from Callahan. Until he and the staff prove that they can recruit athletes consistently on both sides of the ball, this type of season will continue to be the norm.
  6. any one have an idea as to what the Georgia equivalent to Huskerboard is??
  7. On a side note, gotta love the crouch heisman memory shout out during the halftime promo... I guess the espn guy who put that clip together must be a husker fan as he wiped out that disaster in Colorado out of his memory when they claim he led us to an undefeated regular season haha
  8. The now consistent results of a first time off and def coordinator. Offensive play calling is stale and predictable, defensive play calling is putting us out of position with no pressure and the unjustifiable use of Marlowe.... I'm baffled but at the same time not surprised at all
  9. I've spoken with quite a few Nor cal/ Bay area huskers and there is a large presence traveling down I-5 as well.... should be a great time, gotta love those Nebraska home games in other states
  10. this seems pointless 1. Didn't Joe Montana, arguably the best QB of all time go to Notre Dame? Not sure what you mean by the following :No, because all of notre dame's players who make it to the nfl either make it by name recognition (Golden Tate) or pretty boy looks (Brady Quinn). 2. 2. Speaking of NBC, does anyone even watch that except for Notre Dame fans? : yeah, I've actually been watching NBC everyday the past couple of weeks, last time I checked they're hosting the olympics. 3. You just argued why there's no reason to join a conference, they can schedule any one they want and get into BCS/title game, why would they change that? 4. You once again argue your own point with your reasoning. 5. you would make a greater debater/lawyer, your biased opinions and thoughts clearly aren't apparent in your points .... Can't wait to read what other hatred for the other 23/24 teams you can come up with.... pointless
  11. that being said, with a player like we had in lavonte last year, im surprised they didn't send a LB or corner on a blitz more regularly knowing david can make up for the lost defender
  12. honestly guys, the scheme hasn't changed at all... I think ppl sometimes forget just how big of an impact having a player like suh in pelinis first few years.... without a single destructive force on the D line that can pull a double/triple team and still get to the QB, then the team wont put as much pressure to cause those sacks/ints/fmbls
