  1. I’m old enough to remember when Joe Walsh said he was going to grab his musket if Trump wasn’t elected president
  2. I believe she has been an outstanding senator for my state. Her campaigns have been clean. She doesn't attack he opponent with scare tactic ads. She, to my knowledge, is free of any real controversy. She is able to pass a lot of legislation which means she has the ability to work in a bi-partisan way. She is honest, level-headed, and direct. She doesn't shriek her policies at people and doesn't make a spectacle of herself with her time in front of the camera. I think she truly has the interests of ALL people in mind when she makes or considers legislation.
  3. 2016 vs Purdue. It was my oldest sons first Husker game and my dad and grandfather went as well. So 4 generations at the same game. And we won. So that was good.
  4. I don't have anything backwards. I know I am voting for the Democratic nominee against Trump no matter what. Who I support leading up to the final Democratic presidential nominee is yet to be determined because I know not all that plan to run have announced yet so I am waiting to see who is all in the race. Unless Amy Klobuchar announces and then my decision is made.
  5. Depending on health, I would say Moos has to at least inquire about Thad Matta Maybe Kelvin Sampson (I know I know-recruiting violation issues...)
  6. For as awful as Trump is, voting for anyone not as bad as him is raising the bar. Not lowering it.
  7. I'm looking forward to the Steelers to continue kicking the crap out of the Bengals
  8. I'm not lowering the bar. I'm just not ready to concern myself with trying to figure out who, among the current Democratic candidates, is more progressive/liberal than the next at this point. Especially considering there are surely more candidates that will announce a run at 2020.
  9. The right coach could bring in transfers, recruits and make the team respectable. But if Miles is still the coach next year then, yes, the team will be worse than when he started.
  10. I would vote for a corpse over Trump so Booker being progressive enough is irrelevant to me at this point.
  11. I watched the Fyre Festival documentary. It was strange to feel bad for people stuck on the island with no way to get back for a while but at the same time laughing because they were so stupid to pay thousands of dollars to take this trip all because a dozen models talked about it on Instagram.
  12. If I can be honest for a moment, I'm open to listening to any radical idea about how to better this country for ALL people. That doesn't mean that the idea has to be accepted as is but we have to have everything on the table.
  13. Funny how it works that he’s untouchable but John McCain was fair game to anyone including the president
  14. At the rate players transfer out of schools anymore, it’s worth taking a shot
  15. I was also thinking about the Luxury Tax the MLB has as well.
  16. I wonder why this guy doesn't take as much flack for his dumb takes as AOC.
  17. I don't think it's what we are shooting for but it's certainly the way so far..
  18. Is it me that doesn’t understand the marginal rate that’s being thrown around or is it other people? This is how I understand it. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Right now the top bracket is 35% on income OVER $500K. That means if you make $500,001 in a year, that $1 is taxed at 35%. The 70% rate would kick in AFTER you earn $10M. That means between $500,001 to $10M, you still pay 35%. Once you hit $10,000,001, you pay 70% on that $1.
