I agree. I'd definitely leave that type of decision up to Heard. But if I were him it's something to consider, injured groin or not.

If Heard wants to play in the NFL, he really should consider becoming a DB. He a good RB, but I just don't know if he's going to get the touches. Maybe he will next year with Rex leaving.

I've said before if this guy came to Nebraska he would be starting at some point as a true freshmen. I'm not knocking the DB's we have, its just that Willis is a damn fine player. A true corner at that. Good size, speed, and agility. From this season all too often our DB's don't make a play on the ball or are awful when the try. Willis can take it to another level. Priority or not, Willis would make Nebraska better and that's why we need him on our team.

Even so, on that play I was screaming at the tv for an illegal pick on the offense before the guy even caught the ball. It was a missed call by the refs but I guess that's the way it goes.

Notice nobody ever came to Taylor's aid? Taylor got a cheap shot in the title game too with no retaliation. This team is soft and our opponents know it. Taylor don't need no aid. He ain't gonna let no one bark in his ear. He can handle himself. I'm proud the way he handled himself.

Damn proud of this team! And Martinez... I don't care what some people say, that kid is one tough sob. Fought til the end and gives nothing but his all. This offense has been getting better and better every year. Lets clean up this defense, gets some recruits, and get ready for next season. Go Huskers baby!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say most here would say Tommie was the best QB in Nebraska history. The only real difference between Tommie and Martinez at this point... Championships. Otherwise how anyone can say Martinez is not one of the best (ONE OF THE BEST) is beyond me. Done.

No no not at all, you can't hold that against him, it's just viewing stats within context. I mean Marlon Lucky finished 4th in all-purpose yards in his career here, and he was a pretty good player, but does that make him one of the best backs to come through here? I don't think so; he got more opportunity to put up numbers than most of his competition. Finishing 4th and 1st (which Martinez will in almost every QB category) are not the same.

He owns a ton of records and he's only played three years to date. He is one of the better QBs we have had. Very system fitting as well. He plays 4 quarters every game! How many of our other QBs can say that? You also get 1-2 extra games a season. Of course you will own stat records. 4 years of 13-14 games while playing all 4 quarters. Yeah you better break records against guys that had 2-3 yrs of games they more often then not didn't play 4 quarters in. Except he was hurt half his freshman year so that cuts that logic out. he still played those games. I feel really bad for your husker_99. Big Martinez fan here.. I don't think we win nearly the games we did this year without him. But the fact that the kid broke nearly all the Nebraska QB records in a shorter time frame than any other QB and still has a year left says a lot of how special this kid is. And using the excuse that he didn't win a championship is not a good excuse imo. Heck we could have a QB hand the ball off to super star RB's, pass for 50 percent, win a championship and that would make him a great QB by that logic of yours. Makes no sense I tell ya.
