Yes, they need a chance to tell their story in a manner that is not threatening to them. The problem with stories like this with someone who is, for instance, in the middle of a campaign is, OK you made an accusation and for a very long time there hasn't been witnesses. Then...when people start questioning it, then a few people come out and say, "well, she told me....back then". Then, when it's questioned more, some how some way a witness is all of a sudden found? The entire thing just smells like someone being paid to stir up dirt, then someone else is paid to corroborate the dirt, then someone else is paid to say they witnessed something.

Good post. This quote is so true and frustrating. I want to believe women when they accuse a man of such things. But, as you pointed out, her changing story doesn't make sense. How do you for years, claim he touched your neck and ran his fingers through your hair and wanted you to serve drinks because he likes your legs (something she admits she didn't even hear him say)....and then all of a sudden it goes to "digitally penetrated" you? Ummm....wouldn't that be at the absolute TOP of the list of complaints? Meanwhile, we have a guy on audio tape bragging about basically doing that even when a woman doesn't want it and she's married. He has cheated on every wife he's had even when they are in the hospital having his baby. He has to pay them off to keep them quiet because they are porn stars and that would look bad. I mean....what am I missing here? If Biden did this, he needs to be shamed and confront the accusations. However, let's get within reality of the other choice in this election. Until someone can come up with hard evidence that this happened, what proof do we have to go on?

OH FFS..... One kid took a job he wasn't qualified for in a private company and was paid way too much. Other kids are appointed to jobs in our own government they weren't qualified for, all intelligence agencies said they were a security risk, Security clearance is denied until daddy gets involved, they're doing business deals out the back of the White House and have pretty much failed at everything governmentally they have been appointed to do. And...you think the first one is appalling and disastrous and the second scenario is perfectly OK and good for the country. Give me a friggen break. BTW....what law did you say the first scenario broke? I have said a number of times on this board, I am perfectly fine with doing a total investigation into ALL the above kids. Deal???

The word "average" is a key word in my post. Yes, that would mean there would be 25 on the roster. But, there is always attrition with injuries, transfers, off the field problems...etc. It's unrealistic to think that every lineman is going to be here for 5 years. So, if you have 5 per year over 5 years, that's 25. If you want to really have 17, that means 8 of the 25 don't make it 5 years. Heck, sometimes they don't even make it to campus. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Also, if we have 5 this class, that means the last three classes would be 6,3,5. Or....an average of 4.66. I don't think it's unreasonable to think we would take 5 in this class.

Oh, believe me, that's the first thought that went through my mind....and it doesn't look like a cheep door either.

That is one calculation to pay attention to. However, I consider 5 to be the minimum average per class for O linemen. We only took 3 last year. You also would like to be able to build a two deep with every two classes. So, when you look at that, even 5 is short. Yes, most/all have redshirted, but that's going to be the way linemen go 99% of the time.

Why is the last sentence wrong? I think would still have been the starting point guard. Put that better talent around him and he has a much better chance to show really what he can do. Does he think that list of teams interested in him have better talent? Are they going to play against better talent? If he’s not willing to compete for the starting job at his second school, dies he think the NBA is going to be more impressed at his third? How about a forth?

I understand that. But, it can be half the size. Much of the time, the ad is only taking half the space. The other half is just white. I would still see the ad and it would only be half as intrusive.

The difference is the infection rate. COVID is being found to be much more contagious. So, you have many more people infected with it. So, if the death rate is the same (which I believe it will be at least some what higher) COVID still ends up with a lot more deaths. And, deaths aren't the only bad outcome. There are lots of people who go through hell with it being hospitalized but don't die.

I was asked to start a separate thread on this. I believe this is something that all of us have fallen into at some point in time. This article is pretty powerful. The message I like is the fact that we all get into groups of people who think like us and it makes us more "radical" than we previously were. What we all constantly need to ask ourselves is, why? Why do I believe the way I do and are we being influenced by the people around us to support something we shouldn't support?

I know none of us can fully understand what is happening in a kid's life. But, to me this is a prime example of with the constant transfers in college basketball. Here is a kid that has a dream of going to the NBA. He's a really good player. He probably has the raw talent to get there some day. He obviously tried to go to the NBA this year and it's not goin to work out. So...his only option is to transfer and probably sit out a year. He basically delayed fulfilling his NBA dream by at least a year. The only way he didn't is if he gets a waiver from the NCAA which, who knows what criteria they use for making up their minds. He could have stayed in a program and develop with the players around him and played another year in a very competitive league to showcase his talents.

I agree. We need to fine tune the information as much as possible. That might be possible to happen in the US and Europe. I'm not confident we can do that in countries like China.

You are correct. However, I find it highly doubtfull that all of the added deaths are for something other than COVID. While we don't know exactly how many, I think it's safe to assume the number of COVID deaths are NOT being exaggerated and, infact, probably to some degree they are being under reported. We just don't know how much.

I don't have these exact ones. My wife got them for my son and I a couple years ago for Christmas. The ones we have are awesome. You can stand there and carry on a normal conversation and then when you shoot, some how it detects it before it ever gets to your ears and it deadens it....then immediately, you can talk again and hear.
