  1. Made me choke up again. Coach in that movie always reminded me of Turner Gill.
  2. No, the WR just overthrew the QB by a mile. He was wide open for a TD. My wife thought it was a cool play. Then, when we ran it successfully, I was so excited that I couldn't talk and I couldn't tell her why I was so excited so she could be excited too. Too bad we didn't have DVR back then.
  3. BS. The "Media" reported very heavily on all the Clinton investigations and impeachment including both Bill and Hillary. The only reason you're not seeing as much reporting on this is because of the pandemic. For some reason, thousands of people dying from a disease takes people's attention. However, it has been reported. If it hadn't been, none of us would have heard anything about it. Question for you. Do you think sexual assault should be a disqualified for someone holding the oval office?
  4. The great thing about that moment/play is that OU tried running the exact same play earlier and it was a failure. We ran it to perfection.
  5. Please provide evidence this happened. Until then, you're just making up scenarios to fit your incorrect comment. And...still....the answer would be no, it didn't cost the tax payers anything. No money went from the legislature, to the Athletic department to pay for these coaches. The money didn't even go from the legislature, to UNL to the athletic department. The legislature has been defunding the University for years. If anything, it cost the students in tuition. But....to that even....the answer is NO.
  6. No...it didn't. You can try to play gymnastics with it...but it didn't cost the tax payers anything. In fact, the athletic program helps fund the academic side.
  7. Yes, Frost sort of fell into his lap and he was brought in specifically to get him hired (my opinion). However, Hoiberg wasn't the same situation and I'm just as excited about that hire as Frost. Moos has shown he knows how to go through the process and hire a coach the majority of fans are going to get behind. NOW....let's just hope that both prove to be great choices.
  8. No....the money doesn't come from tax payers. I agree. I was excited about all the hires (yes, even Riley, but admittedly less than the others). I backed every single one of them till about half way through each of their final year's. Each one needed to go when they were fired.
  9. This guy must just be a liberal Democrat wanting to make Trump look bad.
  10. I'm not surprised that nobody is voting for the 1962 win over Michigan because nobody, including me, probably was either born or old enough to remember it. But, if you think about it, Devaney had just taken over a program that had been absolutely miserable for a long time under Bill Jennings. It was really the first glimpse that the fans had...of....hey, maybe we have something special here. Devaney ended up taking a 3-6-1 team from the previous year and went 9-2 and started building the dynasty. I would have loved to have been around at that time to feel the shock and excitement in the fan base.
  11. Explanation of Sunday. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
  12. And, it's also amazing how Republicans all of a sudden are so concerned about an allegation of sexual misconduct that has been brought up from the past. Meanwhile, supporting a President who is well known for sexual assault. He even brags about it. Sorry, Republicans have absolutely zero moral high ground on this subject.
  13. Good news is, COVID is going to get me before liver disease.
  14. Yeah, I saw that yesterday and was hoping that was a true number and not just because it was a Sunday and documentation of deaths hadn't been done. But, so far today, we are only up to 31. So, hopefully it really is a good sign.
  15. So, if Charles Manson were still alive, he should be released. What about Gary Ridgeway (Green River Killer) age 70? Dennis Rader (BTK Killer) age 73? David Burkowitz (Son of Sam) Age 65? What about serial rapists that have been put behind bars to keep the public safe? Now, we just let them roam free?
  16. The whole "release elderly prisoners" issue that has come up all of a sudden is a ridiculous issue in my mind. Why the hell should a prisoner, just because he's over a certain age, be released? I've seen people on line calling for mass releasing of prisoners from places like Rikers Island. Sorry...no. So, someone like Harvey Weinstein should be released just because he's elderly.
  17. I have been searching on line for a copy of the CARES Act. Does anyone have a link? All I have been able to find are summaries. I want the actual Act. EDIT: Never mind. I think I finally found it. LINK
