  1. That's been one of my biggest problems for years back when the polls chose the champion. Once a team was in the polls, they were, many times, given the benefit fo the doubt for issues throughout the season....while one that doesn't start in the polls, struggled to get respect even though they're winning games. To @Moiraine point. If this is "where they are now", why wouldn't the preseason poll simply be the final poll of the previous season?
  2. This is a case of different opinions on what polls mean. Your meaning of a poll is very foreign to me.
  3. So, my next statement is true in your eyes.
  4. Aren't all polls predictions of where someone thinks the team will end up?
  5. I agree. And, this is an example of why. So, if you think a team is going go finish 19th in the country, wouldn't you put them there in your rankings?
  6. So, in your opinion, anyone who even tries to be a vocal critic and change the party from within, is a worthless piece of crap. Hmmm...interesting. So, no need for any Republican to ever criticize Trump or try to make things better....because everyone's already made up their minds anyway.
  7. OK...that dude is a big dude already. It makes me chuckle when I see WR listed as possible position in the OP.
  8. To be fair, they aren't used to other programs needing to spy on them to beat them.
  9. The bolded is my point. The Republican party hasn't been sitting around dreaming of having a guy like Trump in the Whitehouse for 50 years. He took advantage of the FoxNews crowd and "took the party hostage" with it.
  10. I don't believe this is what the Republican party has been building and wanting for the last 50 years. Not at all. It's possible it's been building towards this in the last say 10-12 years. And, eventually, that's why I left the party. But, even then, the party wasn't this nuts prior to Trump running in 2016. No way in hell would Reagan support Trump....as an example. The Democrats are doing a great job at painting Trump as the perfect example of everything conservative. And, the Republican party is making it damn easy for them to do because so many people in the party are enabling him.....like Romney's niece as the RNC chairman and her quote above. It's one reason why Trump pisses me off so much as a leader in a "Conservative movement". The original tweet I quoted in my original post in this conversation is an example of that. Democrats are going to play the game of tying everyone that isn't a Democrat to Trump.....even when they are a vocal critic of him.
  11. We watched Birdbox a couple nights ago. I thought it was a decent movie. I wouldn't put it up as an absolute must see....but, I enjoyed it.
  12. I don't believe that to be true. So, just being a Republican...even though you were one long before Trump ever came on the scene, makes you an accomplice....without actually looking at individual actions?
  13. Can you tell me what private conversations he has had? Also, I'm assuming you are talking about rallying troops to impeach Trump. Now, many of us would be perfectly fine with that. However, legally, I don't believe there are grounds for that yet until the Mueller investigation is complete. So, to say a Republican hasn't done enough to get Trump out of office.....is a little disingenuous until the official report is released and evidence is presented.....especially one that hasn't even been seated in congress yet.
  14. So, someone who hasn't even started his term.....hasn't done enough.
  15. I was wrong about our record. I thought we would win 8 or 9 games. I still think we would have had a good chance of that if we hadn't been rained out in our first game and the idiot buff hadn't injured 2AM.
  16. And, your comments on the tax cuts are exactly what I'm talking about. Republicans are going to push for tax cuts just like Democrats are going to push for tax increases. That's going to happen 95% of the time. That's because both parties have entrenched themselves into those opinions. So, what you're saying is that if the Democrats elected a totally incompetent disgusting idiot but that idiot pushed through Corporate tax increases, medicare for all and free tuition for everyone.....any Democrat who votes for those issues, is enabling the disgusting idiot in the WH.
  17. There is very little Flake could do on his own on any of these issues. You need to be looking at McConnell and Ryan. There was no way in hell he would be able to get any bill through that would protect Mueller...etc.
  18. THIS is what enabling looks like.
  19. What the Democrat Mantra is becoming is that if you are a Republican and criticize Trump, but vote for Republican issues like tax cuts, you're "enabling" Trump and no better than he is. Which, this is what I have an issue with. I can support conservative issues and think Trump is a scum bag. Dems seem to think that if you're a firm critic of Trump, then you should be voting with the Dems. Well....sorry, that isn't going to happen unless the Dems attitudes change on issues. There is a distinct separation between Trump and what I believe a conservative arm of the government should be working towards. For some crazy reason, about 40% of the country thinks they are tied together. If someone steps away from supporting Trump, another 40% of the country thinks they should automatically start supporting Democratic opinions.
  20. Hell yes, they supported and liked him. It wasn't till he criticized their dear leader that it was fashionable to turn on him.
  21. And, I'm getting tired of these takes from the Democrats. The easy way out????? So, if a Republican supports Trump, they're trash. If they come out and strongly criticize Trump, it's the "easy way out".
  22. After seeing some media's tweets over the weekend, I'm agreeing with John Bishop. They want to go back to the era when they got to choose the champion.
  23. Quick decision making is a major part of QB talent. Talent will still be important.
