Question.....
The corruption is so engrained in the Chicago Police Department going back decades if not even a century with the Code of Silence.
So....if you were all of a sudden given the job of Police Superintendent....how do you fix it?
Wow....I just got through the entire story. It is very well investigated and written. It really explains the depth of the problem and how it spills over into multiple agencies and departments.
Duke....I fail to see how political parties make a difference. This corruption has been happening in the Chicago police department clear back in the Al Capone era.
I think that other teams come in with that attitude. That's why we are seeing more passing in the first half than second half. Langs throws a few more times to make them pay for it, they loosen up and we pound it at them in the second half.
I am in the middle of part 2 of this 4 part series. I honestly find this fascinating.

I don't believe this is rampant in every police department but, at the same time, it's nothing new.....especially in this area. Back in the 1930s, this same area had major corruption in the police department helping the Italian Mob. Cicero isn't that far away.
Every time I see this I have Johny Cash's song Ring of Fire come into my mind.
I fell into a burnin' ring of fire I fell down down down And the flames went higher And it burns burns burns That ring of fire That ring of fire
When someone has had absolutely zero experience in public service...and....when that person refuses to get very specific with his policies by saying..."It's dumb to announce what you are going to do before you do it", all you have to go on is his character. And...quite frankly, Trump's character is NOTHING that should be anywhere close to the Whitehouse and he has proven that over and over and over again.
Probably. But, even if we ran the table this year, there will be some who still sit back with their arms crossed huffing about how he got lucky, the schedule was easy, those teams weren't as good as they normally are....etc.
You can try to discredit business success with your insecurity and lack of understanding, but one does not simply luck their way into a multi billion dollar real estate empire. Sorry, just didn't happen.
Oh please......
He's a lying cheating scum bag in the business world....and a complete fraud as a politician. I personally know contractors in NYC that he has cheated out of money and comes out the other end smelling like a rose to the public. He's been sued by minorities for housing practices. He's been sued by other employees for simply not paying them. That isn't being a genius business man...that's being a scum bag.
And...the act they are trying to portray of him being some genius because he used losses carried forward for tax purposes.....spare me......any two bit accountant out of college knows about losses carried forward and knows how to use them. Any business many who has ever been in business for any length of time has used them.
That isn't anyone being "insecure" or "lack of understanding".
They guy says whatever he can to get his followers all lathered up and then denies saying things when actually pressed about it.
