  1. There is no sense whatsoever in combining the service with the most accurate results with the service with the worst results. Doing that makes the information less accurate. And here you are advocating for our program to use less accurate information in recruiting. That's nonsense and is just more proof of the hubris that has infected our program. I'm not advocating for our "program" to use any specific service. I hope and pray they are doing their own evaluations and not using these services. These services are mostly for fans to follow recruiting. If you think these services have a major affect on our program...well.....you have a much bigger view of their importance than they deserve.
  2. There are camps and competitions all over the country. If a player chooses not to participate in any of those camps then that's their decision... but it should raise red flags about that players willingness to compete and their willingness to be judged against their peers. Thanks for helping point out a flaw in their system. And...BTW....even using your amazingly wonderful Rivals, I still proved the top 10 players at MSU and Nebraska aren't that far off from each other. But....you chose to ignore that point. Elite players (4 and 5 star) are given elite ranking because they have shown elite athletic ability. Average players ( 3 or less star) are given average ranking because that is what they have shown average athletic ability. The Elite Player Ratio has proven correct on the field, where it matters and in the National Championships won by the teams that have achieved it. Period. On your wonderful Rivals, 3 star players are rated from 5.5 - 5.7. 4 star players are from 5.8 - 6.0. Our average for the top 10 players is 5.75. MSUs is 5.85. Not much difference there. They are barely above 4* and we are barely below 4*. There isn't some amazing line where all of a sudden a player gets a 4th star and he all of a sudden is God's gift to football. It is a graduated scale. Now, if our average was 5.55.....I would agree with you. Fact is, our top 10 isn't much different than theirs. Now, you can keep trying to over exaggerate to make a point but people see through that pretty quickly. They didn't "Clean our clock". FYI....a composite type rating is much less flawed.
  3. If we get KJJ and Holmes, these are the types of kids I am hoping they will be able to peer recruit.
  4. Mark Emmert is the President of the NCAA. Previously, he was President of the University of Washington. LINK I am going to be watching this issue closely. I have this gut feeling that this is going to end similar to the Cam Newton/Auburn investigation where the NCAA comes out with a total joke of an excuse as to why they aren't going to be punished.
  5. They are? I don't remember them in the CCG last year or the year before. In fact, I don't think they have been in it at all.

  7. And if a player doesn't go to one of their camps? And...you know they are superior because....they are telling you this?
  8. Ummm no, they isn't anywhere close to all they need to agree to.
  9. That is one of the main reasons I got out of youth football! lol Welcome to youth football parents on steroids.
  10. Ignoring the rest of my post? Are you trying to hide things?
  11. Soooo.....looking at your amazing Rivals site. (Which I think is a joke looking at either Scout or Rivals by themselves.) MSU got 10 4* players. I'm assuming you are using those as the definition of elite. You claim 11. Are you trying to hide something? Why are you trying to hide something? Anyway. MSU average for those top ten recruits is 5.85 Nebraska's average for their top ten recruits is 5.75. Is there some amazingly HUGE difference between these two? I think not. Is MSUs better...well....obviously their average is higher so yes. But, pardon me if I don't get all chocked up with shock that they are so amazingly better than us. The reason is, even though we have fewer 4* players, the rest of our top ten are barely below the point of having that 4th star. Meaning, there isn't much difference. Oh boy.....I'm assuming I'm hiding something again.
  12. Rivals is the elite of the recruiting services with the most accurate rankings of players. I go by Rivals. And yes... Michigan State cleaned our clock and yes you are attempting to hide that. Why are you always attempting to hide the truth from everyone ? I put the information out for people to see and I'm hiding things? Interesting. I even said they had a slightly better class than us. And, I'm still "hiding things". So, if I don't use alarming terminology and act like I should be in panic mode because MSU "cleaned our clock"......I'm hiding things? Heck, I wouldn't even use that terminology when looking at PSU which ended up 19th in the nation with an average player ranking of .8809. Yes, they have a slightly better class than us. They got one 5* player. Without him their class average is .8753 compared to .8707. They did get him so...yes....they have a slightly better class than us. But...I guess I'm hiding things if I don't use alarming terminology. Am I part of a vast conspiracy trying to hide reality from the masses?
  13. Actually, thats really 9 to 5 elite players (if you are going to use a 4* or above to define that) according to 247 composite which I value much more than other sites. I never said they didn't have a better class. But, I had issues with you claiming they...."cleaned our clock". They simply didn't. I am not hiding anything. I put the stats out there for everyone to see. They have a slightly better class. They didn't "clean our clocks.".
  14. Angus McClure is who I thought Sharpe mentioned quickly on air this morning. Would be a great hire IMO if true. EDIT - will need to go back through the podcasts, 2nd or 3rd segment to be sure but that is who I thought I heard him say. Interesting! I don't remember this guy at all but he's got a few ties to Nebraska apparently. Was an assistant for Callahan for two years, and was also the offensive line coach and run game coordinator for Turner Gill at Buffalo. Here's some more of his bio from UCLA's site: Seems like a fantastic hire if true, but are we putting all of our eggs into the California basket? Not a bad basket to be in. Having said that, this coaching staff showed plenty of ability to adapt to recruiting in the 500 mile radius, an area they hadn't had much experience in before.... They pretty much whiffed on everyone in that 500 mile radius they went after. The ones that signed were recruited hard or committed to Bo's staff. The high school relations guy sucked, was an arrogant A hole and told the coaches at the coaching clinic he didn't intend to recruit Nebraska much. He was so bad and screwed up so much they announced today he was reassigned. Going forward Kenny Wilhite has that role and he will excel at it. That's just not accurate. Farniok- Was far from locked up by Pelini. That was most definitely a recruiting win in the radius for 2016. ' Bryant- Wasn't even offered by the Pelini staff Wilson- Wasn't offered by Pelini. Stoll- No Pelini offer. Domann- All Riley & staff there. As for the lineman who were already committed (Raridon, Brokop). You act as if it's easy to keep kids committed in the middle of a coaching change. Did Pelini have them on the radar? Sure. Still a nice job by this coaching staff to keep them interested, and committed. Missing on a couple key prospects late, is for from "whiffing on everyone" in the area, and those two kids from Kansas are probably going to Clemson whether it was Pelini or Riley in charge..... Both Fant and Bubak were coming to NU until this staff messed it up. You seemed to miss out on them in your mentions. So no biggie we let the best two kids leave because we wouldn't call them back. Ummmmm.........that's a total whifffff????
  15. Really???? MSU cleaned our clock in recruiting? Nebraska 24th ranked class 21 players .8707 average rating 218.54 class score 5th in Big Ten Top ten recruits average .8992 (4 star) MSU 22nd ranked class 19 players .8852 average rating 230.67 class score 4th in Big Ten Top 10 recruits average .9154 (4 star) That's cleaning our clock?
  16. i dn't think martinez ever really figured out the "read" part of the zone-read. there were times where the read was 100% obvious and he'd make the wrong decision. i'm pretty confident he had his mind made up pre-snap. If it were predetermined, he wouldn't be making the read. If he isn't making the read, what you are seeing was the wrong guess by the coaching staff calling the play.
  17. It would just be really interesting to know if it was Bernie supporters or Republican supporters. But....your comment did make me laugh.
  18. I'm pretty sure Moraine, Knapp and Zoogs (along with me) are all for the international treaties and laws we have agreed to and signed since WWII remain the same. We just need to make sure we abide by them.
  19. You may have missed the discussion on the Geneva Convention or the United Nations convention on torture in HS history class. If so.... LINK LINK There's a lot more info on the internet if you search for it. Ugggg Clearly we are talking about if there was a change. Who is suggesting a change?

  21. Pretty 'damming' if you ask me. But I never liked her anyway. She has made lying into an art form. That is a pretty dang interesting video. Say and do whatever it takes to get elected. That's been the Clinton's SOP since they were running for governor in Arkansas. I would be interested in knowing who put that together and put it on Youtube.
  22. Bleacher Report What I find interesting about this guy's guess is that he really doesn't give any reason for him to go to USC than "his dad went there" and he attended their bowl game.
  23. I have no problem ridiculing people with ridiculously bold stances based on myths and promoted by people who promote those stances for personal gain (politicians). This is America which I am very proud to say is the best country in the history of the world. It's the best country in large part because you have the freedom to have bold stances and I have the freedom to ridicule them.
  24. You don't like Trumps wife? Got it....you have no real meaningful response to real questions about your stance on this. Well, you kind of just attacked his wife for really no reason. I greatly apologize to her. If she sees my post above, she will now see this one and I hope I haven't offended her too much. Now.....no interest in answering the questions posed about your stance? Wasn't it about Trump and if you backed him? I don't back him. Are you really trying to avoid the questions in the conversation? If you don't have answers...that's fair. I would understand. But, the conversation did start about allowing our government to torture people and I thought you were for that. Maybe I'm wrong about your stance. I am for that. I just don't know if I am a Trump backer. I thought your question was for Trump backers. So....no desire to answer the questions about supporting torture?
