  1. Heard was in on the first two series of the game.
  2. This is going to sound like I'm arguing with my own post. The Republicans need to do what the Dems have done and been very successful at doing. A number of years ago the Dems realized they are not going to be successful catering to the extreme. They realized that the liberal extreme will vote Dem no matter what. So, they stopped talking about them and talked to the people in the middle. I believe there has been a concerted effort within the Dem party to keep the extreme quiet. The Republicans on the other hand act like they have to constantly keep the extreme conservative happy and talk only to them. That leaves the middle with nobody they are proud to call "theirs". This election was decided by 2.3% of the vote. If the Republicans every figure this out, they can be very powerful.
  3. You are partially correct. There is going to be a big war in the party. However, neither part of the party has "won". Just because one part has been more vocal doesn't mean they have won.
  4. I know this is just fictional and people are playing around with this. BUT, I have absolutely no desire to to live in arguably a part of the bread basket of the world only to not have a port to export our ag products to our customers without going through other countries or common wealths. That said, I wouldn't mind being separated by the left and right coast sometimes.
  5. What did people find this weekend hunting deer? It appears that the population is WAY down in the area that I hunt. This is southern Custer County. This is either due to EHD or the drought or both.
  6. During the game, PSU's QB and their head coach at one point appeared to be complaining to the officials about the noise level. They appeared to want a penalty called on us. Did I see that right and what is the rule on this? I have never seen a flag thrown because of crowd noise but it appeared to be something that he and the coach obviously talked about before the game to try to get done. I hope the crowd got 10 times louder when they tried this.
  7. I left a forum where I agreed with a majority of the people to come here because I enjoy reading from people who I disagree with. When you completely shut out the other side, you lose a portion of reality. That goes both ways.
  8. I believe that it is bad if a small portion of the population is voting and deciding elections. It alway amazes me how few people vote. I'm going on memory here but of the roughly 25,000 people who live in my county, there were only something like 5,000 votes cast. Now, I understand that a portion of those people aren't old enough but still, take those out and that is a small amount voting. Voting needs to be made easy, accessable and fair. All the problems in places like Florida need to be fixed IMMEDIATELY. There is no excuse for that. However, I don't get heartbroken that uninformed people don't vote. I believe the only thing worse than someone NOT voting is someone voting that has absolutely no clue on the issues. That doesn't mean people who disagree with me. You can be very well informed and just see the world differently than me. It seriously means people who have absolutely no clue. This could be everything from people who just don't understand to people who are extreme elderly without the ability to make a decision to people who just simply don't care. All of these people should have the right to vote and that freedom should be made available to them. But, if they don't, that isn't a bad thing.
  9. Wow knapp... Your candidate won by something like 2.3% and all of a sudden you are the moral compass of America? I have stated on here how disgusted i am with the republican party. So if you plan on writing a dissertation on ask the things they do wrong that's your choice but you probably could save your fingers for something worth while. For the record, i very well may be leaving the republican party. That basically means i am someone without a party since i can't vote for democrats either.
  10. I can not believe someone picked a presidential candidate because he cries?...really?
  11. Who is in charge of setting up polling places?
  12. I'm in the middle of Wyoming go in land out odd service typing on my phone so not going to say much. But,i took you post as meaning who ever wins shouldn't gloat and the loser shouldn't be bitter. A number of your threads today rubbed me the other way.
  13. no, the supreme court (nor any judge) should be elected by popular vote. that is a terrible idea. then there would be no checks. the supreme court is to protect the minorities' rights. Bs .....the sc is there to protect the constitution. The constitution is there to protect all American.
  14. Lol...your orgasm over the election is very apparent today. I guess you thread you started before the election doesn't mean much.
  15. Deal.... Plus...I've made up my mind that i am going to let some leadership in the republican party know how i feel about them being to stupid to win an election. I'm pissed.
  16. Problem is nothing will get done. All the stupid issues from this election will be forgotten and not fixed because each side likes to point fingers at the other side and get political hay out of it. This needs to be started right now for the next election.
  17. Carl... I know you have said you are ok with voter id but others are not. They have claimed it distinguishes voters. Total bs if they would simply help make it work.
  18. Every ranking in the history of college football is a paper ranking. Ours is no less legitimate than any other. One could argue that the #1 team after winning the National Championship has a bit more than a paper ranking. You mean the one that they shouldn't have been in to begin with?
  19. Wonder where he will actually end up. Will his parents move before he actually signs?
  20. Finally some common sense. Now, one option they could have looked into is actually running it at a different location and then donating a large portion of the money made to the relief effort.
  21. Works for me. How does getting an ID work for the elderly, shut ins, people who actually don't have birth certificates? http://www.wvec.com/...-142317585.html Those would have to be covered in the "so simple and free that literally nobody can complain about it." It must be very easy to obtain. It must be free. And it must not be in the few months leading up to major elections. Again, something can be worked out if the people in power want it to be worked out. The fact is though, this is such a political issue that both sides really don't want it resolved. The Republicans don't want it resolved so that the can point to Dems and claim they commit fraud. Democrats don't want it resolved so they can point to Republicans and claim they want to supress the vote of poor minorities. I have a question though on your question. How do these people vote? If they can get out of their house once every 2-4 years to vote, then they can get out (with plenty of heads up) to get an ID. If they vote absentee, then I am fine with the government paying a certified person to go to their home and registering them. As long as they are a certified person and not some hack working actually for one side or the other.
