I continued to hear that Nebraska has "high expectations" or at least higher expectations that most places....I could not disagree less. We have the same expectations that any other top program has ( and yes we are still at top program, just not fielding one of the best "teams" right now. The expectations is that when you take our facilities, our tradition, our money, our fan base then you expect to be competitive---not necessarily a national champion or even conference champion each year--I think we are very patient about this. But when we play games against teams that are similar, have similar records, in other words "good" teams, but not "great" teams and we get the living sh#t stomped out of us in an embarrassing way--then we have every right to question the motives and decisions of the highest paid state employee. We aint getting blown out by the Bama's of the world, but by far, far less and even more frustrating is that the same mistakes and same mentality are part of an on-going pattern.

The most "damning" part of the tape was the verbiage that seemed to suggest Bo was looking for greener pastures. If there is more evidence to suggest that he has been actively pursuing other jobs, then I believe he will be gone at the end of the year. Now, if teams were contact HIM first and he had some polite "networking" dialogue with them---I get that--no problem, always good to keep other options open. BUT...if he had initiated the contact....it certainly looks as though he is just biding his time, looking for greener pastures. It would not shock me if the AD was having some private dialogues of their own with prospective coaches--nothing official, just putting feelers out there and the end of BO could have a lot to do with who is willing and available. I hope he stays and turns things around----I know a lot of folks say it will hurt the program, hurt the recruiting, etc if we had another coaching change---but those are short term "pains"--you keep putting a soft team on the field--you get a reputation for getting blown out--and that HURTS the program for a very, very long time. Mistakes can be corrected, Reputations can take forever to resolve.

Played in High School, then in the miliary and a bit with a semi-pro team.

I have been watching Nebraska Football since 69---I think there have been more 4th quarter comebacks in this year--than in the previous 40 plus years combined--the only other one that comes to mind is the 94 Orange Bowl. the police came to my apartment three times during the second half--the third time I opened the door and said, have a seat officer, save yourslef a trip back---and he DID. lol

I have been trying to sell a sofa/loveseat combination for a couple of days. A couple that was supposed to show up around noon failed to do so. They pulled up in my driveway when we were first and goal at the end of the game. The pieces were out on the driveway--they called me on my cell and said they were here and they wanted to go ahead and buy them and take them home...I did not even hesitate to respond with "Sorry, they have already been sold" click back to the game.

For those who consume adult beverages during the game (or before and after the game) do you follow any type of pattern, ie, wait for first score to begin, or take drink after each good play? do you consume more during a win or a loss. Just curious and just killing time

Looking forward to this game. Dont have the usual "pre-game" jitters, but I am not over-confident either. I do think it could be close for awhile, but we can wear them down, especially with good play calling. I would like to see a few QB draw type plays and have TM just take off straight ahead and run..as opposed to doing a few "hesitation steps". I think our D shuts them down--and I am even predicting at least one interception returned for six. With Rex out, and Amer possibly a bit hobbled, would love to see Jamal get some more touches--even some wingback type swing/shove pases--ala Irving Fryar. GBR
