Well, as a still registered Republican (so I can vote in a primary only), I proudly casted my vote against Trump this morning. Voted for Haley who was not my first choice when this began - but it is what it is. When the GE comes around in Nov - I'll gladly vote against Trump again. Just doing my small part to save our democracy.

I'd like to see B1G with 24 teams - add Kansas to Midwest, Miami to the East, Stanford & WSU to the West while moving N Dame to the Lakes, 8 conf games -- 5 from the team's division and then 1 from each of the 3 other Divisions - rotating. If there is to be 9 conference games then we create a protected rival from one of the other 3 divisions - ND could always play Stanford for example, Nebraska could always play PSU, Miami or FSU - 3 schools our fans would have an interest in. One could argue that the Midwest division will once again (like Big 10 west, Big 12 North) be the weaker division. Playing one of those 3 teams would up our SOS for the playoff. Of course the fly in the soup on the above is that Stanford is scheduled to move to the ACC next year. It seems that Miami and FSU are interested in moving out of the ACC. Maybe that will push ND and Stanford to move also??? crazy times

Yes, I go to the Y and shoot some hopes, swim and lift small amounts of weights - made the mistake of playing half court basketball wt guys in their 20s and 30s - here I am 68 years old - my wife just shook her head at me. But I did make the first basket - a 3 pointer but from then on I was sucking wind! Bummer getting older. The mind says "you can do it! I gave up church softball after I severely pull my Achilles tendon trying to field a hard-hit grounder my direction ( I was playing short stop). I felt something pull but walked it off. I was first up to bat afterwards and when the I got walked by the pitcher, I took one step towards first base and collapsed on the field - felt like the baseball bat had jumped off of the ground and whacked my calf. They had to carry me off the field - most embarrassing is I was called out since I couldn't make it to 1st base. That is when I realized my weekend warrior days were over or needed to be severely limited.

Or it opens up the door for Biden to play the same game - obstruct the election or don't vacate the WH if Trump wins. For the good of the country, he could say 'We cannot allow trump to be president again. It will destroy democracy'. So in in destroying democracy, he will save democracy. Do I think Biden would do such a thing - absolutely not. But the SC has opened the door to the possibility of a tyrant taking over if they rule in favor of Trump. And slow walking the decision until after the election would show (1) Cowardness on their part & (2) Give 'aid and comfort' to an enemy of the state - Trump the would be dictator. Now that the SC wants to weigh in on this, to elevate their status no doubt, they need to make it an emergency ruling. A judge in Illinois has ruled against Trump being on the ballot - so there are now several states who have ballot issues on hold pending the SC decisions. This is far worse that GWB vs Gore and the 2000 election stalemate.
