Bo haters deserve the second coming of Callyhandjob- when did Nebraska fans become so self entitled? If TO would have been a coach in today's "Nebraska fan social media circle jerk" Osborne would have been run out of town by a bunch of video-playing "fans" with skinny jeans on skinny jeans. I hate those things. Why do people have to dress in a way that makes them look as ridiculous as possible, and for one second think it's cool. Hasn't every generation had those people?

Did you watch them last season? We have already improved from last season. When watching Miles you actually see him coaching and teaching players. Gallegos has out of nowhere found confidence in his shot. Miles has signed 3 players that are top 30 at their respected positions. We have 2 BCS transfers eligible next season and a JUCO AA PG redshirting. You will be impressed with Miles guaranteed

Or the late hit out of bounds (Stafford was pushed in the back, into the guy out of bounds) during the Michigan St. game that would've stopped their go-ahead touchdown? Or the punt at UCLA when the ball CLEARLY didn't ever hit Ameer, yet was called as hitting his foot? Or losing our quickest linebacker before the season started? Or losing our best D-lineman before our biggest game? I'm not making excuses. I just can't stand when people bring up "how lucky the Huskers are", or bring luck in general into a football conversation. Calls get blown, people drop passes, good players get hurt. In the end, it is what it is, and luck has nothing to do with it. Those were all teams we should have buried. But nope not when Bo is our coach. We sneak by the scrubs and get blown out by teams with equal or greater talent. Losing these players etc happens to every single freaking team. Keep polishing your turd with a large glass of kool aid. We will be 10-4 and unranked. If this is ok with everyone then I now know why we will always be average and not elite again.

I disagree. That is an old arguement for maintaining 'the average'. Good grief, NU footbal is worth more and deserves more than the average status quo. Things are different. NU has shown much more patience wt Bo then we did wt Frank. I think a rising star HC wouldn't think twice about NU wt our upgraded facilities, stadium growth, loyal fan base. Urban Meyer must have thought OSU and the Big 10 had potential. We have every bit the tradition as OSU. We now just need a coach or a coaching staff who can keep up wt Meyer - Bo won't unless he makes some dramatic changes. Past performance is a predictor of future performance if nothing new is added to the equation. Sorry man....have fun finding someone who's quota is conference championships or natty championships every year OR you're fired. Even Urban Meyer commented on firing coaches after 9-win seasons....and he stated that he would never go to a program that does that. It's like coaching on pins and needles. Exactly! Milt live in AZ, so how does he show up here all the time to consult the OL coaches all the time. Garrison was hired as a second coach, (no one else) As far as the last part of it, your a TROLL. Milt has talked to Barney on several occasions. I forgot they don't have phones or computers in AZ. I have said nothing that makes me a troll. C'mon man...your o-line doesn't suck if you're the #1 offense in the BIG10 along with a top 5 rated rushing offense. Yeah, the o-line has played inconsistent at times....but by the numbers, NEB has a solid o-line. It doesn't suck. Ranked 8th in rushing 254 yds/gm Blown out twice and the OL didn't help in those games. Does Nevada have a better OL than us? Army? Air Force? Georgia Tech? New Mexico? What all these teams have in common? We all ran the ball over 600 times Inconsistent OL play is bad OL play. Odd how our team in general is inconsistent...we must just recruit inconsistent players...can't be anything else.

And Polar I don't think you are full of it. You just didn't know some of the things going on with the OL. It is ok no worries. These things were all done to try to shore up the OL and save Barney some face. Isn't working out too well so he will find a comfy new office in the AD.

Yes, and you're entitled to your opinion; when have I suggested different? I would say our OL line play has been pretty bad this year, but Beck has done a terrificjob of working around it, and it's thanks to our skill players that he has been able to. You might think some people just have it in for Barney for no reason, but consider how much more likely it is that people want to see the best position coaches coaching our line, and those who have railed against Barney since he arrived, are doing so because he has always been a mediocre at best OL coach. I soured on Barney when he came in here and started openly dumping on Callahan's OL technique -- for all of his failings as a head coach, guy is a top notch OL coach. Barney came in and started talking about how ridiculous what the previous staff did was and how screw technique, just play hard. The things we could be doing with a stud OL coach....why be satisfied with this? Anyway, the staunchest Barney defenders seem to do it just for the sake of defending the guy against the meanies, but that's not what it really is about. Just his coaching ability. More than almost anybody on this staff he's had his chances. don’t take me wrong on that one, you never did. See this is where i this is pure bullsh#t. Cally was HC not the OL coach. plus the philosophy went from a pro formation to a kind of spread this that formation. (at first) but it was his fault (even tho Bo told him which direction he wanted to go) Sorry but that is just sad that you think that. OL technique and fundementals are OL technique and fundementals. I don't care what type of offense you run. You can change splits etc but run blocking is run blocking. We man up and zone block. We pass pro. When did Bo become an OL expert? You hire assistants that are versed in the direction you want to go. Bo obviously didn't do that. Zoogies is right on and you are getting a little too worked up over this for some reason.

I don't have any connections, it's only from following the program and reading this board mainly. Not for five years. Milt was brought in to consult starting I forget when, 2011? Maybe earlier. The 2010-2011 seasons run together in my memory a little. There's another guy too aside from Milt and Garrison, I forget who...some former Husker OL, I think, also helping around. Dangit, somebody help me out here...point is, Barney had to get help brought in because they needed to shore up that position group. And our OL is still not satisfactory, without which we simply cannot demand excellent results, I think. Want a 12 win team, you're gonna need a pretty bangin' line.
