  1. Today? No, right before Nebraska offered. No, we had offered long before. Sorry....memory was wrong. My bad.

  4. Are the numbers public yet? I would really enjoy to look at the data.
  5. Today? No, right before Nebraska offered.
  6. Since Texas is not a finalist, did he cancel that trip?
  7. To my knowledge there are 9 spots still open. I don't think we will get 9 more commits, but maybe 7 or 8. The players that I could see as realistic opportunities to have as commitments with just under a month to go: Terrell Newby 4-Star RB Trevell Dixon 3-Star ATH Boaz Joseph 3-Star CB Brian Lemelle 3-Star WR Casey Sayles 2-Star TE (if we offer) Ernest Suttles 3-Star DE Drake Martinez 3-Star OLB/S Matt Finnin 3-Star JUCO OT Cethan Carter 3-Star TE/FB Other possibilities: Priest Willis 5-Star CB Jaylen Miller 3-Star DE James Clark 4-Star WR (visiting Jan. 11) Aaron Cochran 3-Star OT Damarious Randall 3-Star JUCO DB Branden Vandenburg 3-Star JUCO TE (Visiting Jan. 18) *****I am hoping for one off the radar late target that comes in and commits. My prediction is we land commitments from the following star levels: 4 Star: 1 3 Star: 7 2 Star: 1 Dream scenario 5 Star: 1 4 Star: 2 3 Star: 6 "Stealing" Quales from Washington would be a dream, but not realistic until a visit is scheduled...if that happens.
  8. Does he have the type of build to play DE in college? Can always use speedy DEs.
  9. I am confident the DT out of Florida will end up as a 3-star. If we land one more 4-star and about 5 more 3-stars we will push for a top 10 in 2 scouting services. If we land a 4 and a 5 with about 5 3 we should end up in the top 10 for 2 scouting services.
  10. Now listed as the number one guard prospect in the country and a top 15 overall prospect. He has incredible athleticism for his size. One of the fastest feet I have seen in a long time for a guy his size. Without a doubt he is a number one target for the OL for the 2014 class. Back in the early 2000s out state produced a guy (OT) by the name of Joe Thomas who is now a starter for Browns and this guy's film reminds me of Joe Thomas. Elite athleticism. Impressive film
  11. Some coaches are better roster managers than others. That is all I will say.
  12. There are three Floridians visiting this weekend.
  13. We got a potential great one from Missouri. We really did. He only attended two camps over the summer and was offered a scholarship on the spot after running the 40 yard dash at 4.83 seconds at 280 pounds. If he would have attended more camps he would have a ton more offers and would be an obvious 4-star rated player.
  14. Talked to one of my friends in Arkansas and he said they were trying to recruit him but they were not able to get him to attend because of some academic reason - some type of math requirement. They talked about that back in Sept. so I don't know if that would be anything to look at.
  15. Thank you for posting that. Looks like he could be a decent run stopper. Large frame, eats up a lot of space, somewhat explosive, and plays with good pad level on most plays. We could use a large bodied guy like him to help stuff the inside runs. Have we offered yet? Film
  16. There is no doubt he is athletic and has a good first step in pass protection. Spend a year as a redshirt working in the weight room and working on his skills/technique and he could challenge to be a starter by his second or third year in the program. Should be able to get two to four years of solid play.
  17. Twenty years is in essence a generation. 1. boise state 169 40 0 .786 2. ohio state 188 51 1 .785 3. florida 200 57 1 .777 4. nebraska 194 64 0 .752 5. virginia tech 192 64 0 .750 6. florida state 181 62 1 .744 7. texas 185 66 2 .735 8. oklahoma 181 73 1 .712 9. oregon 176 72 0 .710 10. lsu 175 74 1 .702 11. georgia 175 75 1 .699 12. miami (f) 171 74 0 .698 13. usc 164 71 2 .696 14. Wisconsin 175 76 4 .694 15. Penn State 171 76 0 .692 16. Michigan 172 77 0 .691 17. Tennessee 171 79 0 .684 18. Kansas State 169 79 1 .681 19. Auburn 167 79 1 .678 20. TCU/Utah (tie) 163 79 0 .674 That's pretty good company. And what this shows is that for the past generation Nebraska has been one of the most consistent winning programs in I-A football, essentially equal to Michigan and Penn State. Not too shabby. There are five B1G teams on that list. UNL, of course, did most of its winning in the Big 8 and Big XII Conferences. For Penn State I added back the 112 wins that the NCAA took away from 1998-2011 because they actually did win all those games. As for the other conferences: SEC had 5, B12 4 (including TCU), ACC 3, PAC 3. Boise State is the only MWC member, and has been in I-A since 1996, so three years fewer than the other schools. Not making this list are Alabama (26) and Notre Dame (25).
  18. Senior year stats: 99 receptions for 1,590 yards and 11 touchdowns.
  19. Wouldn't mind seeing the coaches push for Brian. I like some of his skill set. Most of all how fluid his hip movement is after the catch. Route running could use some work, but you can see the quickness that would give B1G defensive backs fits having to try and cover him. Film
  20. It is actually deeper than that. He has a teammate that already signed with Auburn. So they are likely going to do a package deal. I would be surprised if he announces KY.
  21. Sounds like he will announce Auburn. Time to move on.
