  1. 1. Agree about our offense. We have it all this year. Excited for this season and really excited to see this offense in years to come. 2. I don't think Texas AnM needs to worry about anything. They play the style of defense I wish we played here at Nebraska. Their coach is amazing, their talent is amazing, their recruiting is outstanding. No I'm not an AnM fan, but I am very very impressed by what they do on a consistent basis. I don't see them, or their QB failing this year. 3. USC? Which one? South Carolina or Southern Cal? Neither one I could give a rats ass about. 4. I always welcome an Ohio State loss. I don't see them losing many if any this year, but I would welcome it. 5. I do believe Wisconsin is on the decline, though I don't see them immediately vanishing completely . They still have that speedster in the backfield that burned our asses up and made our defense look like a bunch of pissants last year right? Just saying. 6. LaCoutre? You mean the kid who bailed on us for LSU I assume? I got no hate for the kid. Good luck to him. Obviously there was a reason we recruited him to play here. If expectations were that he was gonna get his butt kicked around on the field then one would question why we were all so damn excited when he committed to us in the beginning? He'll be fine.........or he won't be. 7. Not Bama again. I agree. I'm tired of the Bama talk, and the SEC talk. Oh yes, they've earned it, they deserve all the accolades they are getting down there. They are taking care of business, we are not plain and simple. Time for us to take care of business. 8. Michigan is a good ball team. So is Northwestern. Could be an interesting division this year. 9. FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL! Watching the spring game always amps me up a bit for it. Ready for Nebraska, and even more ready for MY DENVER BRONCOS! Nah, no hating the guy from he. He just isn't ready to see the field yet. He got thrown around like a towel in the D Line drill.....he is number 91
  2. Udpate....QB recruiting for the 2014 cycle is going great so far. We are high on the lists for Darlington, Pierre, Ulmer, Wade and Harris. I'm not positive where we stand with Kizer. Which QB do you hope we can land? I'm hoping for Darlington.

  6. I have not seen any videos of other major programs putting iPads in their locker room like Nebraska has. I'm going to ask around on the forums to see if any program has. I know that recruits like it....even landed a recruit because of them, but I can't remember who it was.
  7. I vote no for Notre Dame as well. I don't see their current head coach staying long enough to reach the 1,000th win for that program. He already flirted with the NFL after last season.
  8. For Nebraska I am going to predict that 15 seasons from now we will have surpassed our 1,000th win. The interesting discussion is who will be the second team? Michigan is at 903 Texas 866 Notre Dame 865 Nebraska 856 Ohio State 837 Oklahoma 831 Alabama 828
  9. I think an interesting discussion to have is when will Michigan become the first program ever to win 1,000 games? Right now Michigan is at 903.
  10. depends on how far back you want to go....lol. If you go back to the 1870s Yale dominated college football winning four national championships (that's if they can claim it....no clue if they do or not). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/College_football_national_championships_in_NCAA_Division_I_FBS
  11. The message board could use some lighter topics to dicuss instead of repeating the same discussions under different thread headers. 1: Nebraska's offense. I like the depth that is being talked about in spring ball. Add in the two high school running backs on campus this fall....so excited to see what they can do to go along with the guys already on campus. I strongly believe Ameer will be in the Heisman talk with a strong season. The same with Martinez if he has a strong season. I would love to see another top 8 rushing offense in the country. Heck, I would love to see us crack the top 6. 2: How much Texas A&M's Heisman QB fails this season....or if he can keep up the high level of play. 3: How bad or good USC will be again. 4: Hoping Ohio State loses a game none of their fans gave a second thought about for losing the game. 5: Wisconsin fans in a world of shock when they realize the three running plays to gain 20 yards is gone. 6: LaCatoure getting blown up if he sees the field. 7: Hoping Alabama is not repeating as national champions 8: Northwestern finishing ahead of Michigan in the division standings while Nebraska wins the division again. 9: Just solid football to watch.
  12. This article goes over some of the information.... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5312405 The thing is, there is no longer an edge in weight training anymore as all major programs across the country do the same lifts. The school that pioneers the next big thing will be the team that gets the competitive edge. I hope what Nebraska is building right now will be the next big thing.
  13. First full-time paid strength coach in history and became the first person in college football to create workout programs. When I was in high school in the 1990s, and while my brothers were in high school in the late 80s and early 90s, our high school followed the workout program that the Nebraska strength coach published publicly. I think I even have the book still.
  14. 40 degree temperatures are finally on the way. Nothing like going from Nov. to the end of March will so few days above 32 degrees.

  15. TJ and Brandon must have a good relationship going....same with Beck. Looks like we moved right up to the top of the list with TN and Arkansas.

  17. VV's goal from April 7th to fall practices is to get in good enough shape so he can handle a lot of reps in a row against guys his size. He is a big guy that takes up a lot of space (something that I love as a person that played DT during my playing days), just needs to keep working hard at taking the next step.
  18. Brian Rosenthal ‏@HuskerExtraBR44m #Huskers secondary coach Terry Joseph said Corey Cooper has exceeded expectations at safety; also likes the length Harvey Jackson brings.
  19. It sounds like the defensive line for this season could be a rotation as the young guys may not be ready to play 60 plays a game. Frankly, it would help keep them fresh throughout the season if they can get a solid rotation going. The young guys on the defensive line have shown flashes but need more consistency yet....which is what we all would expect.

  21. Stable? 13 new assistant coaches over the last two years (before the new coaching staff). Big drop off in terms of losses from the previous two seasons. Very dangerous O Line depth chart (any injury would be big). No true second WR worth a damn. Switching players from the offense to defense to try and find defensive backs as they don't have any depth. Third new O Line coach in less than a year. A ton of the expected starters for this coming season are on their third position coach in the last three years. Third offensive coordinator in three seasons. It may appear stable for the causual viewer, but those who understand football know being on your third offensive coordinator in three seasons is not stability.
  22. Don't read into the video shots that much.....could have been explaining schemes and stuff.
  23. No changes you say that could impact them? How about going from a 4-3 to a 3-4 with an entire different philosophy in scheme, going to a more West Coast offense (yes, that is a fact), changes in the methods of practice, completely changing their weight room program (changed it to cardio focused than size/strength). Like I always say in these type of repetitive threads, if it works, they keep near the top. If it doesn't work, he will be ran off. Also changes in recruiting methods.
