I would think that you could live in the Kansas-side suburbs of Kansas City and you could be close enough to commute to Lawrence.

That was my thought as well, but not being familiar with the area, I would be interested to hear which communities are better than others, particularly as it relates to public schools.

Well since Kansas is in the sh#ts financial and they always look to cut education, not sure the long term out look of any public school is good.

I have family in Lawrence. I think they went to Lawrence high. They turned out ok. One's a teacher, others a PhD...
