I agree with better recruits, but recruiting is about relationships and we are still in the honeymoon. In addition, many players want to win and play in the NFL. We need to learn how to win the big games. I think recruiting will get better, but it may take another year.

Tyler Evans was a 5th year senior this past fall and didn't play. Pat Smith was a (graduate??) transfer kicker who had the job in 2013. And you can't take guys off athletic scholarship and put them on academic scholarship. Something tells me that would be misused by 99% of all schools. Correct, if a player sees the field his scholarship has to count towards the 85. If a walk-on earns a scholarship during the season, it does not count toward the 85 until the following year. He must start the season as a walk-on.

Hitting has been an issue all year, so we relied on pitching. Lately, there has been questions about Sr. leadership and mental toughness to finish out the year.

It's several of the Sr.s who under achieving this year. We just need to move on and recruit.

We had more hits in the 8th & 9th, than the prior 7 innings. No urgency & very little mental toughness on this team. depressing!!!!!!!!

TE is not a position that services look at first. We have kids in the past that were not looked at before we offered them. I trust the staff to do there jobs.
