  1. Rivers is playing with a lot of confidence; Walter is struggling; Shields may be our most complete player (didn't miss a field goal or free throw); Petteway is the same with even longer range on his jumper; and it looked like the entire team was trying hard to get Webster some looks to boost his confidence. Walter had A rough game shooting and it was 1 game! Don't misinterpret my statement. I was replying to the poster who asked thoughts of those in attendance. And for that one game he was asking about, .....Walter did struggle. (arguably you could mention that he struggled in the exhibition game as well). No way was I throwing him under the bus. Just stating the facts about last night. He looked very good at the tip off, making 12 or 13 in a row in the 3 pt. contest. I think we have several players who could step up any game to help Petteway & Shields. Sorry, I am still in morning after Sat.

  3. I'll take your side on this. I like Bo and I think in some respects he has been a success at Nebraska. The program is definitely improved from the BC era and I commend him on that. Since Bo did improve the program his first few years I believe that he has the knowledge to improve the program. My only issue with Bo is that the program has hit a ceiling under him the last few years. In his first 2-3 years he brought us from having a horrible team to a team that was being competitive and led us to 3 conference title games which was definitely a step in the right directions. In the last 2-3 years we have been stagnant as a team that is good but not good enough to be considered with the top teams/programs. If Bo can make the changes needed to get over that hump and bust through that ceiling I would like nothing more than having him on the sidelines. If Bo can't or isn't willing to make the admittedly tough changes then I feel it is our best interest to have long discussions with the power that be about possibly changing directions with the program. With that said I definitely believe Nebraska can and will be a power again. WOW! Why is this so tough for some to get. We knew what Wisconsin would do because they really didn't have anything else to do. They are one dimensional. We even had an extra week to prepare. Then that guy goes off for 408 in 3 quarters. That's all any sane person needs to see. Everyone has an opinion and we all know you hate bo.
  4. Good for her, and no I don't want them either. The problem lies in a waiting list and Alum. who will buy the tickets to keep the streak going. I do not see him getting fired any time soon.
  5. None. This is first stint in college football. I changed my mine. After seeing Pupach's coaching credentials, Fisher could be the OC & would do a better job than our DC.
  6. Did he really say this? I've seen it mentioned a couple times but always thought it was a joke because we don't use our TE and FB. That's inexcusable.Yes, he stated something to that effect I heard him say that about the FB, but not the TE.
  7. My main grievance with Bo is sticking with assistants who should be gone. 1. Cotton - terrible OC, Terrible Line coach & now our TE have disappeared (receiving & blocking) 2. Beck - no offensive identity and can not call plays worth a crap. is in love with the long ball. 3. Papuch - His players yell at him during games, no respect & can not make an adjustment.
  8. 1. Bo is not getting fired, as he is friends with the wealthy alum. 2. He has healthy contract and will still get paid for a few years even if was not coaching.
  9. We have no idea what other schools would be doing and Pelini has enough connections in the football world he would have nothing to be concerned about. His allies include top boosters at Nebraska, Tom Osborne, Bob Stoops, Pete Carroll and many others. Sure, he'll get an AC job no problem. Maybe even a HC job in the MAC if he so desires. Schools like LSU ain't calling Bo up though to be a HC. Rumor 'round these parts is the MAC job may be better than a B1G gig. WOW! The highest paid MAC job with bonuses is $900K and Bo makes 2.6M not counting bonuses.
  10. Pointless thread! Bo is friends with all the boosters with money and has a good recruiting class. All you can hope for is some changes in the coordinators. It's reality!
  11. What world are you living in man? There are not going to be schools fighting to get Bo Pelini lol. We won't receive much heat for firing Bo, and really we could do it right now. We have seen 7 years worth of work, and Saturday's game is the last evaluation necessary. We took more heat for Frank bc he was in the NC game 2 years prior. And he won a conference championship. Frank lived on TO players and could not recruit and it was plain as day.
  12. None. This is first stint in college football. per his huskers.com profile True, but he had been out of college coaching from 2003 to 2011. He did coach HS in 2009 & 10, so actually 10 yrs in college (4 with NE).
  13. The rebounding was disappointing, only because NKU had no size and they out worked us on the boards. Miles said other than the rebounding it was a good game.
  14. He puts too much on himself, because we have an OC who more than not blames the players. Sorry, I am venting because Beck should have been gone last year.
  15. When you buy all the extra seats to keep the sell out going, than you can make those decisions.
  16. We have no offensive identity and to blame 1 player is idiotic! True we don't have an identity, but I don't see him blaming the loss on Tommy... just saying Taylor never played as bad. I happen to agree. I think Taylor's first game against Wisconsin would be the closest. The reason we do not get any better is because we do not play to the strengths of our players. The offensive play calling is so bad that the whole offense can not get in any kind of rhythm. I gone to every home game for a long time and I see the same thing every game. I am just saying its not one players fault. Several coaches need to go. If not, then lets clean house.
  17. Husker 59 - 44, only reason it is this close is offensive rebounds & shooting 40% from the 3 point zone.
  18. In fact, we are being out rebounded by a team with a 6'6" Center.
  19. We are giving up too many offensive rebounds - 9 with 15 minutes to go.
  20. No offensive identity, Beck has not clue what he is doing game to game.
  21. He's a coward because he will accept this years play and we will continue down the same road next year. It was pretty straight forward. WOW again!
