  1. Is this sarcasm? No and you took this out of its context....As I was saying I like how Bo trusts his team and by going back to Armstrong he is showing faith in him. He understands TA is young and will make mistakes but thinks he can be a great QB and Bo is investing in our future.
  2. I loved how our team fought through adversity. We should have lost that game by a lot but we still had a chance to win in the 4th quarter. I like how our coaches trust our players. An example of this is after the Armstrong, Newby fumble on the first drive with an option then later on in the 1st quarter they went back to an option with Newby and Armstrong. I like how Bo keeps going back to Armstrong every game to start even if he had a shaky game before. I know it's Bo's 6th year and people are tired of getting the same result every year....... of at least 9 WINS. I think he is really figuring out how to be a head coach and it's showing. We have a lot of young talent on this team that has been playing great the past few games.
  3. Manning and Decker by them selves may get 45 pts... sorry but your done lol
  4. I learned that Ameer is a baller. He just wants to win games so badly, after the first few turnovers in the first half he was running very hard and trying to make something happen. He needs more credit and recognition from the country. He ran for 120 yards on the nations "best" defense. Not sure I learned this from this game but our team has incredible heart and a will to win. Turning the ball over 5 times and still being within reach to win the game. Playing football I know that you can get down just after 1 turn over and it's easy to quit. Did any one else notice how after Bo just got done screaming at a defensive player on the sideline Q went up to Bo and exchanged some words. To me, at first Bo seemed mad at what ever Q was saying then kinda lightened up. What a ballsy move by Q and I hope the younger players take notice. I know people want Bo fired because of how consistent we are with not winning in big games, having dumb penalties and turning the ball over. However, winning 9 games a year is just impressive while having the highest team GPA. Yes, he missed on his first couple recruiting classes and is forced to play young players but it's obvious to see that they are improving big time since the begging of the year and how is recruiting classes in the past couple years has been great.
  5. Technically the kicker was on top of other players and not down but I would guess it would be forward progress. It's hard to overturn that, it's kinda like the Iowa State game. There were many calls that could have went either way. I think the PI on Quincy could have went either way, letting the kids play but yes if the Michigan State player didn't have his arm on Q I bet he would have caught it. I do NOT know how the block in the back on the punt wasn't called. It was right in front of the ref....that was a huge momentum swing. I think we would have held them and gotten the ball back in great field position. But nothing we can do about it.
  6. Be nice if they both commit before they leave. Could be a big recruiting weekend for us. Lol. After tonight, I doubt it. Lol I know right. I mean who would want to commit to a team that lost a game. geezo I know I bet if we won every game like Bama he would commit....
  7. IMO we need turnovers in order to win this game. Our safeties will be up by the line of scrimmage like last week so that will leave a lot of space on the back end so I hope our corners can create some turn overs. Our crowd will be huge for us today, and since it will be a close game they will be loud the whole time. I really wanna beat this team and score a lot on them. I think as long as Tommy makes good decisions we have a good chance. It's about time one of Tommy's long throws are completed for a big play touchdown.
  8. I agree and say that it's because we lost our 5th year senior Taylor Martinez who was likely to bust at least one big run a game while healthy. We have a smaller amount because we have two QBs who are seeing significant playing time here at Nebraska. With Tommy he is adjusting to full game speed and still fully learning how to read a defense. You can rep plays everyday but nothing beats game time. We have a lot of athletes on our offense and as time goes on Tommy will get better at reading defenses and be able to make the big play throws and our number of big plays will increase.
  9. Maybe we should forfeit the rest of the games and just play in some little dinky bowl against the Sunbelt Champion? Personally, I hope to play the Cajuns in the New Orleans Bowl, but that's just me. Seriously, people really are worried about looking stupid? This is a clown question bro I mean personally I don't wanna look stupid and get blown up on national TV. Not saying we will, just saying in general I wouldn't want that to happen to me.
  10. Obviously the more he plays the better he will get. He will be great for us and will finish this year out strong.
  11. IMO I am glad they are letting the defense be more physical than the past couple years,it makes for more entertaining football. I do not know how they didn't call the hit on Seisay, seemed pretty "defenseless" to me. If you would call it on KBell last year then you need to call it now.
  12. that play woulda been huge! I think we will hear a lot of Armstrong to Carter and Armstrong to Moore in the future.
  13. I understand that you play to compete but do we really want a chance to get embarrassed on national TV again? Then again it could be a great opportunity to beat a good Ohio State team. I am a Bo supporter and think our defense has stepped up the past few weeks but I am not completely sold on them yet. Don't forget OSU will try to run the score up on us to get style points and make themselves look better. I am excited in the direction we are heading after the start of the season. GBR
  14. He has been a fan of Nebraska since Suh, he is looking to set up a visit within the next week or so.
  15. Lonely Island, youre a genius! I'm on a boat! I garauntee I Just Had Sex wiuld pump the crowd up into a frenzy I thought I heard "what does the fox say" during the Minnesota game lol
  16. The dog wagging the tail is never a good sign. When the players start to tell the coaches what to do, there is something significantly wrong. The coaches are supposed to know what to do, know what to call, know the defensive strategy, know the match ups, know the player groupings, etc. If the players have to tell the coaches, it is a sign that the coaches really do not know what they are doing. Which, in this case, may very well be the case. Are the coaches out on the field playing and seeing first hand what it going on? No. I understand the coaches can see whats going on but that doesn't beat actually being on the field first hand. I'm sure the coaches ask the players when they come off the field whats going on out there and what they can do differently. This seems like this is one of the first times we have actually done what they players wanted to do instead of Bo being stubborn and sticking with his scheme for the week. We saw when we went with the players suggestions it worked very well.
  17. Tommy looked great his first couple games when we called a conservative game for him now as he gets more comfortable we are taking more and more shots down the field, I do agree that we need to run more which sets up PA pass and pass short to set up the deep passes but I love him going deep and think he has a good deep ball. Tommy is a baller that will make our offense more successful once he fully grasps how to read a defense.
  18. I actually like Tommy throwing bombs down the field, as a defender if your guy goes deep then that sticks in your mind and you maybe start to mentally focus on not getting beat deep so you loosen up coverage. Of course it depends whether its man or zone but I think the play calling has a psychological effect to some extent. But I agree that it puts Tommy in an unfair place being 3rd and long, and yes he could check down which is something I think he needs to do more of or just tuck it and run.
  19. So what your saying is that the players are better coaches than Bo ?>>?? yep. You do know that this isn't the first time he's asked players what they want to do don't you? Any coach worth his salt is going to do that at some point during a season. They're always asking players what they're seeing and what they're feeling so they can make adjustments. I know it's not the first time he has asked however it could be the first he changed his scheme around what the players wanted. Instead of thinking his defense will work once every one "executes" he made it more simple and we saw how it worked. Granted, NW was down to their 4th string RB.
  20. So what your saying is that the players are better coaches than Bo ?>>?? yep. Ha ha! Bo played free safety for tOSU, and I think started for two years and was co-captain of the defense. He must have known football back then. But he got dumber at football during his next 22 years of coaching. I meant to put , after "yep"
  21. So what your saying is that the players are better coaches than Bo ?>>?? yep.
  22. He is going to stay. We saw something we really haven't seen him do here, ask the players what they think will work and they played great. He usually is stubborn and thinks his scheme will work this year. I think last game is the spark that this team has been missing the past couple years.
  23. I love getting athletes out of the south, this is a kid that we need that can play multiple positions
