  1. 4 out of 5 people surveyed think the 5th person is an idiot.

I always liked the '9 out of 10 kids prefer crayons to guns' Pearl Jam T-shirt.

  2. I was going to make a joke about the legs of the people posting their 40's verticals, but I edited it so I don't end up in the out of context thread again!!!
  3. +1, I'd plus you more than one if I could. Thanks for the update.
  4. Wow! Does the PDT in your name have some sort of Diabetes acronym thing going on? I kid cause I care! BTW- a few of my buddies and I will be attempting the 40. Vertical and bench this weekend and I will post my results thereafter. I'm 37 still active(Vball,BBall, softball, golf leagues) but I usually do most of these leagues while also attempting to drink beer like prohibition starts the next day! Should be interesting. Update?????
  5. This thread inspired a new signature for my profile. And as to killing animals to eat them, it's more humane and easier to keep them on the grill if they aren't still kicking.
  6. LOL, I figured I was missing something
  7. +1 The rivalry and the game name seems forced because it is what it is, a fake rivalry, and they are stupid if they don't go to east/west names next time around.
  8. Hopefully we have enough confidence in a backup that will enable Taylor to play more like it. From what Taylor said, he believes Armstrong is that reliable back up QB, and he stated something about running harder and hitting harder. If so, its going to be nice to see. We saw the physical ability of what he had his RS Freshman year, and the UGA game, and I could only imagine him being stronger than he was 4 years ago. I think Taylor wants to leave NU with a Boom. I remember last year Beck talking about Taylor being smart and not taking ao many hits (no good backup?) So he was listening to coach and running more tentative? If Taylor being more comfortable with his backup lets him turn it loose next fall, I'm all for it.
  9. a kick-ass ass-kicking? a boost to their athletics budget, I heard they used some of it to buy new larger tail pads to protect against further a$$-kickings.
  10. I said prior to the season last year that Taylor would out play Dennard Robinson all year a long. I think i was laughed at. Well, he did, and it wasnt even close. I'm not gonna go as far as saying he'll outplay Braxton Miller this year, but I will say that that particular week-to-week matchup will be much MUCH closer than what the national media is ever going to give Taylor credit for. Sadly enough, all of Taylor's hype and accolades are going to ride solely on the potential and performance of a very young defense. To me, Taylor and Braxton are pretty close in talent and what they do for their teams. Last year they both lead flawed teams to records that were probably better than should have been expected. Both were better than pre-injury Dennard Robinson last year. None of the three strike me as NFL type QBs.
  11. My apologies, the comments I refered to about Taylor getting clobbered running standing straight up are in the "charting Taylor Martinez Accuracy" thread.
  12. Taylor improved a lot last year, and I hope he improves as much or more again in '13. I think he might be one of the most exciting college QBs next year. But NFL DBs are all studs and would pick him apart. And I agree with the earlier posts, an NFL safety would tear him in half with him running standing straight up.
  13. Well, at least Colorado on the schedule sounds better than Idaho State. No. It doesnt. Ok, true it doesn't, but I did feel bad for Idaho State getting whipped. I wouldn't feel a twinge of regret watching 70 something to almost nuthin against the Buffs.
  14. Well, at least Colorado on the schedule sounds better than Idaho State. There are probably deranged Buff fans hiding somewhere talking about the "glory days" when at least they didn't suck. Kickin their butts instead of a FCS will be more fun to watch.
  15. This is really discouraging. Especially the Wisconsin CCG debacle last year. How can we beat a team, and then two months later get blown out by that same team on a neutral field? It was a Cosgrovian effort. It really was. Because the same two teams weren't on the field. People get beat up, coaches change tactics, players develop over the course of the season and life events happen between games. Yeah, injuries, particularly Baker put us at a disadvantge in the CCG, but even shorthanded, we should have been able to keep it respectable. The Nebraska coaching staff got taken behind the woodshed by Bulemia.
  16. +1, I like that it's on Black Friday again, but I'm still hoping that maybe through the re-alignment we can switch the opponent to Wisconsin.
  17. Maybe live practice will improve some of the not-so-stellar tackling we saw at times.
  18. They can put the yellow first down line on the field, just like on TV!! LOL.
  19. All we heard about prior to NSD was how difficult it is to get kids to leave home and come all the way to Nebraska, so when it comes to Foster, isn't the reverse true? Mom and Dad can drive across town to 6 or 7 home games a year, vs. 12 away (from Lincoln) games. The only drivable SEC games would be Misery, maybe A&M. I'd sure think we should be in drivers seat on any kid living in Lincoln.
  20. He might be in the motion of it. Yeah, I know. Just thought it funny, cuz I hear that about 100 times every week at the trap range when the kids are practicing.
  21. If Bo reads this post, there will be at least 4 or 5 more offer letters in the mail. BOOM!!!!!!
