****** What Did We Learn - Minny Edition ******

I learned that Bo is 5-19 against top 25 teams at Nebraska. One game short of a 20% winning percentage. -

Injury doesnt look to be serious, on his hudl highlights there's no shortage of effort run blocking. Kind of resembles blake bell with his move to TE.

Kenny Bell Speaks Up
husker_fan_from_sweden replied to Abdullah the Butcher's topic in Husker Football
I'm getting this mental image when I read Kenny's twitter tweets with the phrase "both teams are trying very hard!" By guard Engleheart from Longest Yard, don't know exactly why.. -
We have a coward of an AD
husker_fan_from_sweden replied to HuskerInLostWages's topic in Husker Football
I agree with your main point but there are so many factual errors in this post I can't even take it seriously. I stopped taking the game seriously yesterday so it rubbed off on huskerboard. -
We have a coward of an AD
husker_fan_from_sweden replied to HuskerInLostWages's topic in Husker Football
The team has a bad game and our AD is a coward? Lost Wages that really has no traction for an argument. We played poorly, we played not to the standards of UN football, we played into Wisconsin's hands sure, but players and coaches were involved with it, the AD was anointed by Tom Osborne and he will make the right decision when the occasion calls for it. A lot of decisions will have to be made because I don't think I've ever seen such a polarizing loss besides the missoula debacle of Callahan. Just don't pull ad Hominem out of your *** about a guy who didn't have anything to do with one game. -
****** What did we learn - Wisky Edition ******
husker_fan_from_sweden replied to walksalone's topic in Husker Football
What did we learn? Wisconsin, not Nebraska, looks like the Nebraska of old imposing it's will and whatever else under the sun it wanted. -
Much deserved praise, in spite of making a highlight film of my favorite team in the process. Honestly one of the best damn performances ever against Nebraska. And one more thing..... IT'S NOT THAT WE ARE LOSING, IT'S HOW WE GIVE UP MID GAME AND ARE PERCEIVED NATIONALLY AFTERWARD. DIE HARD NEBRASKA FANS DESERVE BETTER.

OT Mirko Jurkovic Jr [Ohio State Commit]

From the Corn Fed Walk-on's of old to the new bloods the Pelini era... May the pipeline flow again. -
RB Kendall Bussey Jr [Texas A&M - Signed LOI]
husker_fan_from_sweden replied to Thanks_Tom RR's topic in 2015 Profiles
Whatever team he goes to, barring injury Bussey has NFL potential written all over. Strength, speed and Power like Kendall runs with are hard traits to find combined into one back. If we didn't have a stable of running backs already he would start and be an all conference performer from day one. -
May the best player play at QB for the next few years. Looks like 247 is also on board with a position switch for him and says unless he wants to play QB elsewhere, he will honor his commitment to dear old nebraska U.

If that isn't writing off I don't know what is. Okay. I'll play. First, no one is writing off Dillman. But the odds are stacked against him that his best 2 years of HS football came during his first 2 years of HS(assuming he played HS football as a freshman). While he seems athletically gifted, that doesn't make him an instant relevant option at QB. I have no doubt that he will be given a chance to show what he can do at QB. As far as Steinkuhler is concerned, I believe it was his choice to play defense. And there is absolutely zero proof that he would have been any better of a OT than a DT. 0 The main reason I brought him up was that he was our last legit 5***** recruit, realizing Kevin does not have the five star rating anymore with 247 proves that an injury can hurt anyone's rankings, we know this. However, (knocks on wood) getting a guy to sign on the dotted line come signing day who was once considered a candidate for being the NUMBER ONE prospect for the 2015 class out of high school at the QB position (Sports Illustrated words not mine) and discrediting the guy for not playing the past two years is a refusal to see the big picture. http://www.si.com/high-school/2012/03/06/kevin-dillmanrecruiting

Maybe not but do you know for certain that the last 2 National Champions want him only for his QB skill set? Couple years ago he was at Bama's QB camp and was close to being offered if not for the other QB they are taking this year. Look, writing off kevin as never being a QB is like saying Baker steinkuhler never had a chance anyway at OT. Why make the same mistake twice here?

Did Jamal Turner have offers from the last two National Champions?
