  1. If the ref isn't there to enforce Queensbury rules, that fight ends after 3 rounds with a Connor KO.  Step into thr cage, 30 seconds.  Congrats on Chess win #50 MM, you "earned" it.

Holly Holm still used boxing technique to pulverize Ronda Rousey and evade her take downs for the duration of the fight.

She still used her boxing technique in a very successful MMA career after she was past her prime in boxing.

If something similar hasn't occurred from a MMA fighter transitioning to boxing, I don't think your theory about MMA fighters transitioning to boxing more easily holds any water at all.

I think it would be more accurate to say that the world class boxers are going to stick to boxing, because that's where the money is.  And MMA fighters might be inclined to transition to boxing, because that's where the money is.

How did that world class boxing help her title reign?  Lost it very next fight.

I get it.  The boxing purists are breathing a sigh of relief right now talking the intricacies of the sport.  Not denying the skill level is different etc.  But a fast paced fight in the cage, any age Mayweather is toast.  It actually resembles a real fight.

I know Connor won rounds, he was expected to. It's Literally part of Floyd's style... He has aaaaalways been a defensive fighter.

MMA and boxing are different sports. Yes, athletes could train for both and be competent,  but they're never going to be as good as someone who has worked 5, 10, 20 years on their sport. I don't get why MMA guys can't just appreciate boxing for what it is. I respect MMA, it's just not my thing any more. And the crowd really turns me off to it.
