      Sting started using the Scorpion Deathlock in 1987.  Bret Hart started using the Sharpshooter in 1991.   Sting didn't invent it, just popularized it.  Some Japanese guy invented it.  

       

      I only know this because I spent the last couple days watching dozens of random pro wrestling videos on YouTube.

      I'll grant you that Sting started using it first, but there are slight differences.  That said, Sting's entire arsenal is a ripoff of someone else.
