Re-Reading "Death to the BCS" in prep for the upcoming season. Chapter 4, Bowl Payouts. It's absolutely baffling to me how blatant crime like this happens and rarely does anyone ever pay the price.
I think most people are aware that the universities don't make money on the lower tier bowls, but I don't think a lot of people know that many schools actually end up paying to go bowling.
I actually doubt many people realize that it's either a wash or a loss. Every year I see the argument of all the great money universities and cities make from bowls when the opposite is true.
