  1. We need H2O to have a solid game with his arm and legs and to minimize turnovers. The defense needs to create at least a couple of turnovers. And the crowd needs to show up and be loud!
  2. Agree. Neither HH or Sims are pocket passers. With that in mind, we need the QB that can best manage a run heavy offense and then make passes when necessary. That offense with a solid defense will get 6 wins.
  3. In looking at HH's game, it reminds me a bit of Taylor Martinez. Like Martinez, HH has impressive breakout speed and running ability but his passing motion is not ideal. Martinez had a much better line to work with than HH currently has, but I am not getting those critical of HH over the past 2 games. No QB is perfect, but he has done everything asked of him in his first 2 starts.
  4. Sims has started 25 total games in college. HH has started 2 and already has shown he has the "It" factor and can manage the offense and make some big plays while not turning the ball over. If HH had been the starter all season Nebraska would be 3-1 right now and tied for first in the BIG West.
  5. 1. Rhule and staff appear to be good at halftime adjustments. 2. The O-line is still our top issue. 3. HH is a gamer and would have helped Nebraska beat Minnesota. He managed the game well, and when given time to throw was very accurate. Most of his incompletions came from immediate pressure. 4. I attended today's game, and the last game I attended in Lincoln was the Akron game that never happened due to lightning. Maybe I should only watch on TV from here on out.
  6. Well when the O line does absolutely nothing its hard for playmakers to make plays.
  7. O and D lines are garbage. Why cant we ever get good linemen?
  8. Defense is sleepwalking....they are the weakness today so far.
  9. D is struggling today. No pressure and no big plays.
  10. HH's accuracy looks great so far. He just needs the O line to block.
  11. T-Magic in the house. These are my best photo skills.
  12. In downtown Lincoln now and its misting and very foggy but it looks like it will clear up by gametime!
  13. In town for the football game and caught my first volleyball match at Devaney and it was a great experience. This is one of the most talented teams that Cook has had in a while.
  14. NIU beat Boston College and LA Tech does not have a comparable win. Perhaps I am putting too much emphasis on the BC win, but I don't see LA tech being able to keep up with BC.
  15. I would agree if Sims had just one game of high turnovers but we have seen that in both games. Maybe Sims will magically approve but I am not confident. Also, HH looks to be a much more accurate passer than Sims who has started 25 games. If Sims has not become a good passer in that timeframe, I am not confident he will learn that now.
  16. Rhule's decision to go back to Sims given the 3 games we have seen this seen is mind boggling and has lowered my confidence in Rhule. NIU is quite a bit better than LA Tech so Sims will need to help the team win by at least 30 points.
  17. With HH as QB, we definitely beat Minnesota. I am so impressed given this is his first ever start.
  18. Well NIU beat Boston College who almost beat Florida State today.
  19. Haarberg appears to be a better runner and passer with better decision making. How on earth did this staff think Sims was better?
  20. Best drive of the season for Nebraska. Power run game on a long drive!
  21. Fidone is having a breakout game. With that said, the offense does not have many playmakers or guys with amazing speed, but they are doing a good job playing small ball and controlling the clock.
  22. Its hard to ignore the connection of Satterfield with Sims. After all Satterfield predicted Sims would have a breakout year. And the offensive woes go beyond just Sims. It is still early and Rhule needs 3 years to turn this around, but Satterfield was the most questionable hire, especially given he is the highest paid NU assistant in history. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/nebraska-oc-satterfield-predicts-breakout-year-for-jeff-sims/article_0662d835-75d1-5176-a7f1-d158173340ba.html
  23. If you are happy with the selection of Satterfield just say it and defend him rather than questioning others who may disagree.
  24. Bumping this thread with all the focus on Satterfield and the offense.
