Worst thing is I really don't think anyone cares what happens in this game. That's what I am getting from people I have talked to.

I thought that was a good post. A win in the bowl game would be nice. Either way this off-season is a much needed reprieve. Hopefully things stay quiet during that time.

Sorry to hear about your father passing. Class used to matter? As in coaching with class? If your dad played for Devaney or before, there's a good chance your dad saw some of the same antics Bo has done. Everyone seems to think that T.O. and his staff were angelic with their behaviors. Although Tom wasn't vulgar (I'm assuming since media wasn't nearly as comprehensive back then), his staff had some good tongue-lashings and aggressive actions in them. This hat incident would have been a non-issue if the hat didn't break. Successful coaches with passive demeanors are rare and the ones that have the combo have at least a couple coaches on their staff that known how to let their emotions fly. If people don't have the stomach for Bo's emotions, then maybe people should look around at other college programs and try to see some of the coaching behaviors... many of those coaches display similar emotions to Pelini. You must look carefully though, ESPN doesn't hone in on most others quite like they try to villianize Bo. Big bad ESPN is after poor, poor Nebraska. Should I get your tin foil hat? The guy was talking about how his dad felt about class. He didn't ask for your opinion on it.

Lots of variables here. Playing time, home sick, etc. Just wanted to point that out so maybe this thread will stay on track.

Wow. Just wow. Again, for those that missed it the first time PETERSON HAD NO INTEREST IN NEBRASKA!!!!! just because you wanted him doesn't mean he wanted you. Your wishes mean nothing to the coaches who want nothing to do with this program. Washington was a good fit for Peterson, so he took the gig. I am going to need proof of that statement.

There's a huge misconception that Bo supporters are 100% satisfied and don't want anymore out of the program. Nobody is satisfied and everybody wants to win championships. I just realize that the program isn't a cesspool just because it's not up to my expectations. Thank you so much for this. I think we are closer to a championship under Bo than hiriing another coach. I also wonder what qualifications we would look for in a new head coach. If we do the blind resume test, wouldn't a guy who has never won fewer than 9 games, played in the conference championship game in 3 of his 6 seasons, turned a major program around in one year, and has had very few off the field issues and NCAA violations be pretty high on our list? If they decide to move on, I hope one of the requirements is to keep the walk-on program. That is a big one for me anyways.

Nobody plays their best ball the first game of the season. Not sure why that is relevant. If you want to know why the SEC is always ranked at the end of the year, look no further than them playing conference games early and FCS teams late when everyone is beating each other up. Exactly! Whenever I fail miserably at something (like Nebraska on Black Friday) the first thing that I want to do is blame everything else (read all of the threads as a reminder). I would not care when you play Iowa because it would still be a game. Nebraska of today is not even close to what they used to be. If you would have played Ohio State on black Friday they would have hung 70 on you and may very well have shut your anemic offense totally down (like holding you to less than 100 yards rushing was not enough). Besides, I bet that Ohio State, Michigan, or Penn State would want to play a better team on Black Friday so that they could build their national reputation. Why in the world would they want to play a lessor team? I just meant we still trash talk each other (the Iowa fans I know and me). No matter the outcome we still jaw back and forth.

I have seen some documentaries with Peterson and I really like the guy. I would be lying if I didn't say I feel like we missed out, but that's how it goes sometimes.

You can never shut Iowa up Lol. Just my experience with guys I know, but it's a fun time.

I get ya. I would like to see a better non conference schedule. Makes the season more enjoyable. Plus maybe the team would gel quicker since they have to. I could get on board with this I suppose.

Whatever play he hits is what we run. I make pappy dress up like an ewok, cause nothing makes me laugh like cussing at an ewok. I cut all blonde haired guys from the team, because I know how that story ends. The media would be thrown in labor camps along with any who oppose my will. Their first task will be to start construction on my death star. Once that is complete we should be on track to win the national championship. Its a process so just bear with me.

Hey man don't worry about anyone else. Stick to what you believe in and hope for the best. So such and such guy doesn't believe what you do. Not a big deal man. So some guy says you aren't a real "fan" or blah blah blah. That person isn't worth your time and you won't be able to convince them to see things from a different perspective. Just enjoy talking or venting with the people you think are reasonable and forget about the ones who just want to get in a pissing match. Everything with our huskers will work out eventually one way or another. Just enjoy the ride and don't worry about what you can't control. Hope that helps and hope you stick with husker nation.

I don't follow those things like I used to. What do they judge them on if you don't mind me asking? It's an actual QB competition on ESPN. Trent Dilfer is the host and a few other former QB's are there as well. It's basically a camp. They go through tests like the 2 minute drill, hitting your receiver in a goal line or red zone situation, etc. I see. Sounds like quite an honor to just to be picked so good for him. Could you imagine if drake Martinez was moved to qb? The meltdown from fans would be epic. Honestly, though, Stanton sounds intriguing, because he won the elite 11, correct? Nothing against Armstrong, but that is saying something for Stanton. In the end, it's just potential. I just want someone who takes care of the ball and plays well consistently. Everyone wants that though, right?
