  1. So to get popular on Twitter amongst the tech-bro, right wing crowd you just tweet things that have been happening for decades and make it seem like a radical change in policy that was never the goal in the first place? I'm starting to get jealous I'm not in on the grift of these people. Look, there's no hope for them and based on the comment history of some board members, they'll remain loyal literally no matter what.
  2. Alabama isn't exactly going to send the best they have into the Senate.
  3. They will, without a doubt, realize that they're being grifted in a moment of overwhelming clarity and demand change within the party they support, pushing the GOP away from a party of manufactured culture war grievance into a party of tangible policy designed to lift the white, working class base they've been grifting for decades. Just kidding this just will make them vote for Trump twice as hard.
  4. I think this is really fair. If Rhule goes 8-4 in year 2, 6-6 in year 3, and year 4 is 8-4 again, that's a major success in my opinion. I personally think it'll take time to get to a point where Nebraska is contending for a 10 win season.
  5. I think it has less to do with whatever Rhule's coaching ability is and has a lot more to do with Nebraska likely breaking in a new QB against an extremely difficult schedule. I think Rhule could have a very successful year 2! 8-4 or so given the schedule. However year 3 is daunting, so I think an accurate judge of Rhules program building will be year 4.
  6. This is a pretty good assessment! Although I think fans expectations should be for Rhule to do well in year 4 instead of year 3. Year 4 will likely tell us if the Rhule tenure is working or not.
  7. Mom's for Liberty is the same people who recently had to apologize for using Hitler quotes on their website.
  8. The funny thing is according to polling, because of the polarization of responses, Republicans basically believe they are living through the apocalypse.
  9. Maybe they wouldn't have to worry if they armed themselves with AR-15s, armor-piercing ammo, and body armor like the Founding Fathers intended.
  10. If any one post could exemplify the current state of the Republican Party, this is it. I'm truly baffled how anybody can continue to delude themselves in to voting for them. What makes me laugh about these headlines is... isn't it a good thing the drugs were seized? There are similar headlines about border apprehensions.
  11. Nebraska is currently 6 over the 85 limit. In addition, there are only 8 scholarship seniors on the roster. With a recruiting class of 25 or more, Rhule is going to have to nearly every Frost player left on the roster to make the numbers work by next season. By my count, 23 current non seniors are going to be off the team by next year. I also doubt many will be current Freshman signed last year in his first recruiting class. I personally think it's necessary.
  12. Rhule will be essentially doing the same thing, just over two years instead of just one. That tells you a lot about the roster under Frost. A complete inability to develop high school players.
  13. He is N! I don't often watch recruit commit videos. But this Rivals guy kept interrupting the kid. What the hell was that.
  14. Thing is, because of the horde of Republican voters, Trump has a ~50% chance of winning in 2024. The election is going to be decided by 50k voters spread across 4 swing states.
  15. Progress is rarely huge monumental steps forward. Enshrining gay marriage into federal law is an important step but doesn't feel that different to most Americans. Most aren't aware that SCOTUS could've taken that away. Signing the Inflation Reduction Act to beef up IRS enforcement of tax cheats, increasing American investment in vital new technologies like battery sourcing, investments in their research and applications doesn't feel that different for people. But it's important for national security - the Untied States will be the Saudi Arabia of battery technology in the 2040s. It has the added benefit of addressing climate change with the biggest investment in history. Signing CHIPS and Science Act, similarly, will allow the Untied States to develop sourced microchips and funding for research in that space - countering Chinese investment. The average American won't feel this - other than the 10s of thousands of jobs created - America producing world class microchips will just be the norm in the 2030s. Signing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill will invest 1.2 Trillion dollars into clean water, improved roads, new bridges and broadband internet for rural areas. The primary beneficiaries of this law are Red states that voted against the bill, and rural voters who think Joe Biden is Satan himself. They won't feel this investment - water is expected to be clean, the internet is expected to work, etc. I can continue onto other achievements - new student loan repayment plans, capping insulin prices for Medicare/Medicaid recipients, and many other things. All while overseeing the best economic recovery in the developed world.
  16. I sort of disagree, I think the class is going to end up sort of where Nebraska has finished over the last several years, around ~25th. Hopefully they finish the class strong by landing players like Brix and Okoye. The potential to land 7 consensus 4* players is there, and if they manage to do that I think that would make a successful recruiting class. The real benefit is that the class will be almost complete by the start of the season or shortly thereafter. I wonder if this will be a Matt Rhule trend or if this is them trying to get a jump start on future years.
  17. Also investment in American manufacturing is at a multidecade high, unemployment rates are near multidecade lows, and perception of American leadership is gaining around the world. Maybe this was the "winning" Trump bragged about?
  18. That is true, but accomplishing this was not a given and doing so while also having the lower inflation than all peer nations is quite the accomplishment. I'm mostly posting this since the current front runner for the Republican nomination is running on the message that the United States is a nation in decline, but the reality of the situation is quite the opposite.
  19. We need to get this communist out of the White House.
  20. All of which are good points! Don't forget about the most treasonous of all: The Big Guy (he's totally sitting right next to me, for real).
  21. Can't believe the Democrats made Trump show off classified military documents in a brazen display of treason.
  22. You are free to ignore them. You are also free to point out any inaccuracies or counter any point as you see fit. I try to have an unbiased opinion on Nebraska football. Sure, it would be nice to assume that the low-ranked players Nebraska is getting are diamonds in the rough - unlike the low ranked players say Rutgers recruits. But the statistics on recruiting don't lie. I actually think having Minnesota's level of success is a huge step up for Nebraska football, I'm surprised that fans think this is a bad thing.
  23. Nebraska will have to develop the talent on the roster at an extremely high level by year 3 just to go 7-5 against the schedule that season. The gap between where Nebraska is - recruiting 5 blue chip players per year - and where teams that finish in the top 10 where they recruit 20 blue chips per year, is massive. It's not possible for them to get to that level, and that's okay. A realistic goal for Nebraska is recruiting 8-10 blue chip players per year, a pace that Rhule is still unlikely to meet anyway.
