  1. as things stand right now, the game at TCF concerns me the most. i just don't see a repeat of last season. minny has one of the deepest running back groups in the big ten. then add Johnson and Bateman at wr. i just see a very tough game.
  2. wonder if the volleyball staff expect Szabo or Slaughter to transfer?
  3. well, would like to see her stick around and compete, but, if she wants to go to a school where she knows she is gonna play---so be it. i read elsewhere kent state, but, that's rumor. for some, one national championship experience is enough.
  4. bit of tough news on the future husker sam haiby---tore the lateral meniscus in her left knee. was having mri (tues or wed?) done to diagnose extent of injury, but, haven't been able to find any news on results. idk what is going on but this site is having some real issues---------anyway, as far as haiby, had surgery but received good news and is expected back in a couple weeks or so.
  5. have you ever listened to PJ Fleck? not saying it isn't going to work in minny, but, some fans are starting to roll their eyes.
  6. puzzling to say the least--------because ND's post is injured? would love to hear ncaa's explanation.
  7. based on what little i have seen, i have only read the quote "medical reasons". unless olivia and/or her family decide to inform the fans, we may never know---having said that, i would be a little surprised if olivia doesn't give an interview at sometime in the near future. it's also possible it may not be injury related.
  8. jmo, but, going by some of the things i have read about chronic knee problems, along with coach riley's comments that tre had this problem while in high school and that his knees are those of a much older person-------i have to really wonder if fans see much of tre again. think this was a big gamble by the staff and may have lost. don't get me wrong, wish nothing but the best for tre and would love to see him return......but, with those knees... the women's bb team may have a similar problem with rachel blackburn. i noticed in one photo she has big braces on both knees. she missed last season and really have to wonder how much they will get out of her the rest of her career.
  9. https://twitter.com/DaleneGantt/status/921877131684188160 still impressive from another angle: https://twitter.com/satasha_k/status/921824490291646465 https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/921847612449357829
  10. being reported, when all said and done, del conte makes around $1.23 million at TCU. i seriously doubt he is going anywhere--------except maybe getting a little leverage for a raise?
  11. some good reading w/video: http://www.kentucky.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/john-clay/article175531431.html
  12. while watching the live feed, that comment did strike me a little odd---------if your only going to be hear for 60 days? but, who knows.......
  13. not really a shocker is it? after all that happened with coach yori, romeo leaving, recruits dropping their commitments. then you have rachel blackburn and her chronic knee situation. not out of the realm of possibility she may not play again-----or playing time limited. hard to say with "chronic" knees. hoping for the best. a lot to deal with for coach williams. also, dw was injured against cal. could be more bad news. unless coach williams hits a "diamond-in-the-rough" very, very soon....probably going to be a bumpy road for a few years.
  14. granted, a couple of things flared up, but, when it's all said and done, i just wonder if it really came down to that the midwest was just not a good fit for romeo?
  15. isn't meant in any way to be a sexist comment, but, being a female coach in wbb is a huge plus right now and into the future. then, add being a good one...bingo! i was very happy she gets a shot at nebraska.
  16. Including a dead coyote being thrown on the court during a men's basketball game a year or so back. that type of thing goes all the way back to at least the 70's. remember jackrabbits being thrown on the floor, too.
  17. not much into posting, but, wouldn't surprise me at all if her "resignation" had more to do with the speculation that coach yori tried to get other staff members to cover for her whereabouts-----related to her divorce proceedings. big mistake. jmo.
  18. sweet! best of luck against OSU! hope they can chalk up another one!
  19. richard pitino may be available---if not before then. heard a guy from minnesota radio sports being interviewed today and he stated his sources tell him that pitino does not like it over at the "u" and really hates the weather. he expects pitino to consider openings that may come up.
  20. tough one. i believe that the first 4-6 minutes dictate the kind of game we will see. GBR!
  21. don't watch espn nearly as much as i used to. same for college gameday. if it wasn't for lee corso, i probably wouldn't watch it at all.
