  1. Dish shows Texas A&M on channel 8. The Nebraska game shows on ESPN2, but when I tried to select it for recording, it said that the game was blocked out in my area. So, what Dish channel is it on?
  2. I was impressed that he was able to keep an eye on the ball and still remain in position. I hate it when DB's never look back for the ball. More interceptions would sure be nice.
  3. The way I look at it is like this... would I boo my son if he was playing his heart out, but missed a tackle, or got burned on a pass play? No, I wouldn't. Unless a player is just not trying, I don't believe in booing a player for making mistakes. I hate to see it, but I'm not going to boo them. I'm sure they already feel like crap after screwing up in front of thousands of people. Directing frustration at poor coaching is a little different, but I'm not conviced that the players know that the fans are booing the play calls.
  4. Great ending. My two boys were at the game. I was feeling bad for them, but they ended up seeing an incredible game. Congrats, Huskers!
  5. I know it was only one game, but I think Carnes is our future. He looked very composed for a young guy and I think he made better decisions than his elders. He didn't force a lot of throws and ran when no one was open. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if he's our starter come fall. I even thought that Ron Kellogg looked pretty good.
  6. I really enjoyed the game last year. It's a cheap way to take the entire family to the game. It's fun to see some young guys for the first time, especially the QB's and RB's.
  7. West Stadium, Section 29, row 23. Five seats for the family. Should be decent seats.
  8. Personally, I'd feel better with Zac Lee as the backup. He may not set the world on fire with his running, but he probably wouldn't turn the ball over. If he could play like he did in the 2nd half against Arizona, I think he'd do pretty well. Better than Green. Just my opinion. Maybe Green has just had several bad games, but his track record isn't good so far. Martinez is definitely the starter.
  9. Me. I suppose it didn't help that I requested 5 seats together in a row.... It's a cheap way to take the wife and three boys to a game.
  10. A friend of mine has season tickets. Last year, he had an opportunity to buy tickets before they were available to the general public. He says that he didn't receive early notification this year, but he may have missed it. I ordered mine right at 8:00 a.m. and end up around the 30 yard line (section 24, row 37). Not bad, but I wonder who got the 50 yard line seats?
  11. There is something fishy about that.......
  12. If I have to pick one guy, I'm picking Burkhead. I think he's our number one RB now. We also need a mobile quarterback. Lee looked very hesitant in the early part of the game against Arizona. It was like he was afraid to get hit. Then, a light bulb musta come on and he looked great running the ball.
  13. You have to run an offense that fits the players that we have. I don't think that Watson does a good job with it. I'm also not convinced that we're getting the best players on the field. I gotta believe that we have some good players on offense, but maybe not Watson's offense. I think he needs to go.
  14. Kinnie looked great. We should throw to him more often. Paul? Not so much, IMO. For every few great plays, he make a big error. JMO.
  15. We had 217 total yards to Colorado's 403. We don't seem to have a passing game with the exception of short throws. To me, Lee doesn't look good when throwing down the field.
  16. I thought Baylor's offense looked better than ours....
  17. Does anybody know the extent of Dennard's injury? That one hurts. Did T. Robinson get injured, too?
  18. I believe the newspaper said that the quarterbacks were not wearing green jerseys this week. It made me think that maybe Zac Lee practices better while wearing a green jersey than he does in live action. For a young guy, I think Cody handles the pressure of a real game pretty well. He just needs some more time with the 1st team offense.
  19. Is Bill Callahan still our coach? You don't know? I think I figured out what you meant after I posted my smart azz comment. I thought you were giving me a hard time (maybe you were?). I apologize if I offended you. Anyway, Callahan's time was up for sure. I don't have a huge problem with showing unhappiness with coaches that are being paid a bunch of money, but I don't like to see players being booed.
  20. Is Bill Callahan still our coach? You don't know?
  21. Booing can't possilby have a positive impact on anything. It isn't going to motivate the players or the coaches. If anything, it could have the opposite effect. It can't look good to recruits, either. JMO.
  22. I recall several plays where our opponents ran around our tackles on the outside because our tackles were not quick enough to get out there.
  23. I think that his support of Nebraska is great. I like seeing him in his Husker attire.
  24. I think the fish are getting a bad rap. They have feelings, too, you know.
