  1. They don't seem to be interested in running the ball much at all. I hope that trend continues. While I don't relish the idea of Haskins throwing 60 passes against NU's secondary a one dimensional offense is at least easier to prepare for. Hard not to imagine a high scoring game unless weather is a factor.
  2. I know this is a troll job but Keith Williams can't hold Troy Walters jock when it comes to WRs. I too, share these same sentiments.
  3. I guess it would depend on what the OCs background is. It makes a lot of sense for Walters to coach the WRs given his background.
  4. I'm well aware who his father is. Totally agree that the thread has been derailed enough.
  5. I'd echo this. That being said, I'd said be surprised if he went early. His measurables are going to need to be absolutely off the charts because the scouts are going to use his height against him. Other slot dudes from last year like Coutee from TT that went in the 4th round to Houston are at least 5'11. If he left early a fair comp would be someone like Ray Ray McCloud who left early from Clemson. He went in the 6th to Buffalo.
  6. Night Comes For Us was absolutely everything I could've hoped for and more. Holy $%$% it was incredible.
  7. Pretty ideal half all in all. Maybe give the starters one more series in the 2H and then start bringing in the 2nd team.
  8. I'd love it if NU can take the approach Ohio was able to use last night against Ball State, they got up 38-7 early in the 3q and then it was backup city and a near running clock after that.
  9. Gonna hit the Netflix hard this weekend and am stoked to see a couple movies that just came out. First one is "Private Life" with Kathryn Hahn and Paul Giamatti. Second is "The Night Comes From Us". If anyone has seen the "The Raid" this movies stars some of the same actors. If you're a fan of non stop action and absolutely incredible fight scenes this movie (plus "The Raid" and "The Raid 2") are right up your alley. Just a disclaimer, these movies are incredibly, incredibly violent so if you're squeamish at all, I'd pass. Also, the movies are Indonesian and do have subtitles although the dialogue is usually kept to a minimum so it isn't too distracting if subtitles bug you.
  10. YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
  11. Full disclaimer, I don't pay attention to the participation charts too much so I could lumping in some guys that are playing quite a bit and aren't eligible to RS. I'm sure other folks will add any names I'm forgetting. I'm assuming by significant contributions that the players will see regular playing time on offense, defense or special teams. The nice thing is we'll be able to see who the staff is high on after the BC game due to the redshirt rule. Off the top of my head... Miles Jones Breon Dixon Cam Jones Moses Bryant (I think Moses gets a long look at either KR or PR)
  12. I too, saw this and was wondering....hmmmm what do we have here. Turns out, dude is a full blown walk-on. Love those home game expanded rosters! http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=211735987&DB_OEM_ID=100&Q_SEASON=2018
  13. You know what I think I know the scene you're talking about. I think the dude had a big ol red mustache but I thought he just had his helmet kinda propped half on/half off which I remember doing if/when I needed to wipe my face off. If nothing else, you've given me a reason to re-watch the movie which is never a bad thing!
  14. Pretty good article about Lamar Jackson and what he did post benching. This piggybacks off of what @ColoradoHusk mentioned earlier ITT. https://www.omaha.com/huskers/football/benching-criticism-made-lamar-jackson-consider-leaving-nebraska-then-something/article_d34f66d4-1684-5fad-9186-2102f68a3257.html Article is free to read.
  15. I don't disagree there as tOSU will most likely reload at QB whether it's Martell or someone else. Still, it's a bit of an unknown. Nebraska has their dude and he's going to be there for minimum the next 2 years and he'll be able to build a rapport with AM. As for Purdue, it's Sindelar (sp?) most likely next year or one of their other dudes. Brohm is a heckuva coach so I'm sure they'll be ok. Still...what if Brohm leaves?
  16. Coaching/school/etc aside I gotta think having a known quantity at QB with Martinez coupled with the fact that AM is a frosh meaning he could be the QB for the majority of your college career is pretty darn appealing. Purdue loses Blough this year and Haskins seems tailor made to be a 3 and done guy.
  17. Someone should call this dude. He had no problem putting on 30 lbs of muscle...in one summer!
  18. This Jurgens move is just fascinating to me. While he certainly needs to beef up, you can get away with an undersized guy at center, especially if the smaller size is offset by an explosive athlete which Jurgens clearly is. With that being said, the transition to O-Line is going to be one heckuva adjustment and center is no joke as it's easily the hardest position on the line to learn.
  19. Good stuff here. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I could've sworn I heard they were planning on moving Bland to C?
  20. Still within the 24 hour celebration window...I'll allow it!
  21. I was pretty encouraged with the defense yesterday and I'm willing to overlook a fair bit of the 2H due to the fact that Minnesota did most of their damage with the backup QB that NU didn't prepare for. Sure, it's easy to pay lip service that you should be able to adjust on the fly and while there is a bit of truth there, it's hard to do that when you've spent the whole week planning for one guy and his tendencies and then all of a sudden you get thrown a curveball. Shoot, it's hard in the NFL too. Case in point, the Cleveland/NYJ game from a couple weeks ago where Mayfield came in at halftime and looked incredible. The Jets stated that they spent zero time prepping for Mayfield as they didn't think he'd play and that's in the NFL where you're only limited by the hours in a day in terms of practice time/film prep.
  22. Excited to see what Mills is able to do. He had some really nice flashes when he was at GT.
